I have Oily skin. No matter what I use, my face becomes shiny within an hour and gives me this nasty dirty look. I want to know what can keep the shine off for better part of the day.

Hi Lisa,
I (JoJami) have the same problem with shadow creasing until I started using the cream eye shadow from Mac.
Cream eyeshadow has ALWAYS been the worst at creasing, but not this one. I put it on, then add a little more powder shadow on top and I'm good to go for the day. Good luck~

I agree with using liquid eyeliner. I have oily skin and the pencils do not stay. but I do have a problem with eye shadow creasing. no matter what it says it still creases on me. what can I do?

Hi Rene,
Well there are several things to think about. First off, prepare the skin on the eye before applying the pencil. First pat on some foundation or eye concealer. Then, powder the lid with a light powder. Then draw on the line and powder again, this time with a dark powder and angled brush. This should hold it on longer.
If this does not work, because your skin is oiley, you might want to forget using a pencil liner and go with a liquid. These seem to stay on better and not run. However, you will still need to prepair the lid as we mention above. Also, liquid liners tend to look harsh so it will be super important to blend the dark powder while the line is still wet and soften it!
Hope this helps...keep us posted!
Cheers!

I just purchased several silk eye pencils, and they're beautiful...but they seem to come right off. Any suggestions for making them last longer?
