Bravo to Dove’s Pro-Age Models!
Just got back from NYC and saw the new Dove Billboard of the nude “Grandmother” in Times Square.
Dove is boldly challenging the “only-young-is-beautiful” stereotype. The campaign, called Pro-age, features real 50+ plus women tastefully un-covered, wrinkles, grey hair, curves and all.
Now when we first heard about this we wondered, “Do they really need to have these women naked on a billboard to prove that older women can still look great?”
But after seeing at the beautiful photos by photographer Annie Leibovitz, we’re thrilled that the issue of women 50+ being invisible in the media is finally being challenged.
It’s empowering to see these attractive, vibrant boomer women with real bodies up there, proving that you can be stunning at any age.
Bravo to the models. They really have guts! We applaud you for being trailblazers and helping so many women feel good about aging honestly.
Are you going to do anything else, as far as casting calls for over 40 women.

I’m a 36 year old male and I’m sick of looking at boney toothpick twenty-somethings. I think both of these women look fabulous. They mirror the women I see and flirt with every day. We all get older and we are all beautiful in some way. Our society’s addiction to boney youth is poisoning our view. I would rather never see another picture of Britney or Paris again and see many more pictures of REAL beautiful women like the two pictured here, or any of the Dove models for that matter.

I am 56 and look young for my age. I have used Dove products for years. I would love the opportunity to model for Dove. I have daughters and grandaughters that would be so proud of me. I’d love to be a ‘mature’ model for Dove. I’m a 53 year-old Asian female. I get compliments on my skin, hair & physique often from 20 something females. I ran my first marathon at age 49 and still run and workout three to four times a week. I’m being pursued by young men all the time and they love my legs. People are often shocked when I tell them I have a 23 year-old son. If I don’t ask, I’ll never know, so I’m asking how I can get an audition.

I just turned 45 years old and loving life!! I only wished that I had my wisdom that I have gained thru life experiences at 20… I am 5’4″ and 120 lbs. I have an eastern european look or people tell me and I would love to model.
