Casual Dressing on the street in Beverly Hills!

Hi ladies!

I (JoJami) have been out in Los Angeles and so went to Beverly Hills to see what the ladies where wearing!

With unseasonable cold weather out here and they have been bundling up to keep warm!

Fur Vest: Here is my mother JoBee (age 74) and once again she can be a huge inspiration to us all on how we can be chic at any age!

Woven Leather Handbag: When going casual, opt for a softer handbag that is not too stiff looking.
Low heel Cowboy boots:

These boots are both stylish and comfortable, tucked in your straight legged jeans.

Fur lined Jacket:

This gal was totally casual with a simple turtleneck and boots and then let the jacket shine on its own!

Flowered embroidered coat:

I always get lots of complements on my coat (Biya). It is tweed with big embroidered flowers on it! It is causal but still colorful and that makes it unique. Because I tend to wear mostly solids, this coat works with most of my wardrobe.

I love the Flowered embroidered coat. Way to cute. Wish I was in CA. It’s cold in NY.

  2. Hi Jan,
Thanks! I seem to have a growing collection of overcoats!!! This one is from Biya and I got in Aspen a few years ago and have worn it a lot! I’m on my way home to the east coast today and I hear we have snow…Oh well, good excuse slow down and have a hot chocolate by the fire!!!

Can you post more pics of your mom ? Wow ! She is an inspiration. To look like that and have a figure like that at 70 ? It can be done. I think people use aging as an excuse to give up also I think there is a lot of undiagnosed functional depression in the over 50 age group :( .)

But it’s not just your mom’s looks that are impressive. Her photo radiates a certain confidence and sense of style. I notice too, her long colored hair- classic no nos for some of the nay sayers out there.

You rock it JoBee and fly that banner high !

  4. Hi Sara,
Thanks for your kind words, we made sure JoBee got them and she was tickled pink! Your comment about her hair was spot on….she was a dark brunette and then went pre-mature grey in her 30′s and dyed it for many years dark. About 8 years ago she decided to go blond and has never looked back. Her hair is shoulder lenght but thick and healthy and she gets it cut every 4-6 weeks to keep it in shape. After washing she blow-dries it and then throws in some hot rollers and quickly takes them out so it does not get too curly but still gives it some bounce.
She has always been consistent with regular exercise is very active and keeps her wardrobe updated! That is the key to her looking great!

Hi, I’m JoBee’s other daughter, Janeen. We have such a great role model in our mother!
One more tip on how she stays looking so young…she is very good about updating her sunglasses which is an accessory that can make a big difference in your overall look.

74? That can’t be right…she looks amazing!!!! OMG!!!

Hi ladies. I enjoy these posts so much! I’m 41 and I have a fashion sewing blog and love reading about these inspiring ladies.I guess I can still rock a bikini. Your mom reminds me of Raquel Welch! It helps to stay in shape for sure!
