Hi there! JoJami here and today I’m in Naples, Florida and on the prowl for more fabulous ladies on the street!
Luckily I spotted Mary Greg, who happened to be from all places, Philadelphia, PA (I’m from Delaware, so that makes us neighbors!)
Mary had just been walking all over The Naples Antique Fair in her pretty tunic top (Steinmart) Leggings (Zara) and adorable flats (Me Too!) and was on her way home when I stopped to snap a few shots of her.

These oversized Cole Haan sunglasses were really great looking on her!

This Kate Spade handbag was just the right size for Mary and went with her black flats nicely!
She was so enthusiastic about fashion and said that she loves to mix up designer brands with other things she picks up, like this sheer tunic from Stein-mart. Meanwhile her beautiful John Hardy ring makes quite a splash! This is something she can wear everyday whether she is dressing up or down.

This beautiful ring from John Hardy is versatile and elegant!

Next up I met Barbara Moses who was going out to lunch with her friend Pat and their two husbands. This crisp white Brooks Brothers blouse caught my eye and so did her J. McLaughlin capri pants!
This crisp white wrap top was a stunner with her colorful capris!

| Looking sparkly and cool were her Tommy Bahama jeweled silver sandals! |

For accessories, she had on a South Sea Pearl necklace that her husband gifted her from Brow Antiques (New Orleans) and a pretty gold bangle bracelet.

Which look would you wear? Please comment below:
Hi there, JoJami here in beautiful Aspen, Colorado where the temperature has been dipping down into the teens and it has been cold, cold, cold!
You gotta bundle up when you’re in extreme temperatures. The question is, how do you do it and not look like a “Stay Puft ” marshmallow?
Here are a few examples of some great looking gals that are having a good time both out on the slopes and around town:
Lyn Moser (age 58) is a good example that you can have fun with style no matter what your age! She was certainly “the cat’s meow” on the slopes with her sleek leopard ski pants! |
 |
| Here I am on the mountain with my Spyder ski jacket. This jacket is not too bulky or puffy and the black piping helps create some good vertical lines! Same with the my ski pants. That white stripe down the side creates a dynamic, racy effect. |
 |
On the street this gal swears her coat has been keeping her warm for years! This timeless investment piece has lots of beading and details that make it unique. Love her turquoise scarf. (Dog accessory optional) |
 |
Long coats were abundant like this one and a must for the chilly nights! This gal had just bought a new purse that fit in with the old west theme of Aspen! |
 |

Janeen Damian, JoBee and me with our low neck sweaters to go out to dinner!

JoBee enjoyed her mid length coat and pink fur hat while Janeen opted for a wild print long coat!
My sister Janeen and mother JoBee looked super stylish in their coats!
Here we are together at dinner… we found that a low cut sweater was just perfect for warmest and still a little “sexy”!
Took a day off skiing and was strolling in downtown Aspen when I (JoJami) saw this flash of color in front of me! Deborah and I are always super excited when we see women dressing with color and flair!
This gal who happens to own a vintage shop here in town was on her way to work when I stopped her for a quick photo shoot and some fashion tips on dressing vintage.
She was walking so confidently and when we stopped to chat she was truly enthusiastic about having fun with her wardrobe.
Here is what she said:
- I love to mix and match patterns but it can be tricky. You must make sure that the fabrics are similar in that you need to pair winter fabrics (eg. wools, knits, corduroy) with winter fabrics and summer fabrics with summer. If you mix linen with a wool it just will not work.
- Wide belts can be flattering on most bodies if they are cut well or have elastic.
- When wearing heavier weight fabrics your shoe or boot should have a thicker heel or wedge to balance out the look.
- My mother let me borrow her Chanel handbag, she has had it for years it still looks brand new! It’s a classic that will never go out of style.
- My over-sized sunglasses help update the look!
- Just added this pair of Hunter lace-up boots. They are so comfortable.

| These over sized sunglasses balance out the large pattern in her coat |
 |
| This classic black leather handbag (Chanel) is not too fussy and so does not compete with the pattern in the coat. |
 |
| No problem walking in these boots! These lace-up boots are a a little funky and make her look more casual. A simple black leather or suede boot would dress it up. |
 |
| The yellow stripe on the back of these boots take them to the next level! The wedge mades them super comfy! |

This Glam gal sure got my attention in this lovely jacket! Cheryl Warfield (age,61) is a National Sales Director for Mary Kay.
Hi there, Glam Gal, JoJami here from sunny, Sarasota, Flordia!
In case you are new to Fabulous After 40, I’m currently traveling around the country in a motorcoach (aka:Tour de Glam)

These comfy shoe "booties" are from Vera Bradly
and have been meeting so many wonderful women!
Case in point, while waiting to get my hair done at a lovely hair salon called Fresh, I sat down next to this perky, Glam Gal!
Here at Fabulous After 4o, we always say that when you are going to get your hair done always wear something that reflects your personality. You will want your hair to match your style.
So, when I noticed this gal I was so curious about why she looked so nice!
JJ: You look so nice, do you usually dress up to go to the hair salon?
Cheryl: LOL, Well, I like to look nice. I was at a meeting earlier for work.
JJ: I love your jacket, it’s so attractive! Where did you get it?

JoJami here from NYC.
Stopped in my tracks when I saw this gal sitting on the steps on the Upper East side. She just looked so pulled together! This is a great example of how having a few quality pieces can really set you apart from the crowd!

Marie is the Glam Gal of the day!
Just getting off work, Maria was waiting to pick up her son and agreed to let me take a few shots of her outfit.

Dress by DKNY

purse: Marc Jacobs

Love the way she layered and added a pop of color with these vintage bangels

These nude wedges from Valentino are adorable!

Do you have a pair of these type of cage shoes? Let us know how you are wearing them!
The other night when I (JoJami) was getting ready to go out to dinner my husband looked at me and said,
“I love that outfit!” (Yes, he is such sweetie!)
LOL…the funny thing was that I was wearing a dress that I have had in my closet for 3 years and have worn tons of times yet he had never made the comment that he “loved” it before.
What made it look different?
- updated shoes
- borrowed scarf (my mother’s)
Sometimes many of us feel that we have to keep buying new things to update an outfit, however the good news is that sometimes it is just the small things, or what we like to call “tweaks”, that can make all the difference.
Since I am out in Los Angeles right now, I thought I would dare to try out my new “cage” shoes that I bought at the beginning of spring.
At first, to be safe, I only wore them with straight legged jeans, but after seeing so many women in the L.A. area wearing them with a dress, I thought this would be fun to try!
What do you think? It is a very different “look” for me but I am getting more used to it now that I see the photo! Previously I wore this dress with black strappy sandals or in the fall black tights and boots. These cage shoes are an updated accessory that breathes new life into this dress!
In addition, adding a pop of color to the outfit with the scarf was a festive way to change it up and make the dress seem totally different!

This e-book will save you oodles of money and keep you from picking the wrong things.
We love to hear from you! Comment below if you have bought something new and different and are having fun wearing it.

Dressing when it is sweltering outside in the summer can be a daunting challenge for the style conscious woman!

For a high heel, these wedges will not be too uncomfortable!
While out to lunch the other day in Phoenix, AZ where the temperature was clocking in at close to 100 degrees, Noel Yuen (age 46) came walking into the restaurant looking so pulled together we just had to stop and ask her about her outfit!

Dressing cool and chic in Phoenix, AZ
Glam Gals: So Noel, you look so pretty today, what are you up too?
Noel: I’m just going out for lunch with my family.
Glam Gals: Can you tell us a little about what brands you are wearing?
Noel: Well, my dress is from Juicy Couture and the shoes are Stuart Weitzman.
Glam Gals: The way you have combined the soft pink lace dress with the leopard wedges is a great play on sweet and wild! It really works!
Plus, just love the way you layered all those bracelets.

Layering bracelets is big these days...it's fun to try it!
Thanks for taking the time to stop and chat with us!
There are some “rules” we like to go by to help others with dressing age appropriate when you are over 40, but here is a great example of where there is a time and a place to “break” those rules!
- Her dress is strapless and that can be hard to wear. Noel is on the thin side so there are no bulges showing. She looks beautiful!
- Dress is on the short side. When she stood up, the dress was not too short because she had beautiful legs and showed them off with confidence!
- Wearing brands marketed to the younger generation. Juicy Couture is known best for the younger set, yet, Noel looks age appropriate in it.
For those Glam Gals with fuller figures or for those who like to dress more conservatively, you can try the same idea with just a little “tweak”!
- The shoes are perfect for anyone!
- Pair them with a cotton lace dress that has more coverage and not quite as short.
- You could wear the shoes with your favorite dark wash jeans or white pants.
- Love the idea of lace and leopard, you could keep that theme in lots of different ways (e.g. lace pencil skirt, tank top and leopard shoes)
- Those layered bracelets are wonderful on all shapes and sizes!
While not all women can wear an outfit like this we wanted to acknowledge what is possible and how important it is not give up on looking youthful after 40!
