Cheap and easy way to add color to an outfit
We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about invigorating your wardrobe while on a budget. The best advice we can give is: accessorize! Accessories can range from very inexpensive to sky high, but when you’re shopping to update your wardrobe, you should be able to find inexpensive, modern pieces to add flavor to your outfits.
We recommend having several scarves to tie on now and again to dress up a plain tee-shirt, add interest to a boring suit, or even loop onto a handbag for a pop of color. Scarves are easy to wear and fun to find! Depending on your budget, you can splurge for pure silk or pashmina with designer prints, or save with synthetic or gauze fabric, or knock-offs (we won’t tell). Thanks so much for the scarf video!!! Now I just need to practice until I get it right!!! Can every age wear scarves this way?? I live in Fl and the weather stays so warm year round. I want to add some scarves to my wardrobe-which means wear them with ss tops and a skirt or pant for work. Will this work if I do not wear long sleeves?

Thanks for your kind words!! And Jennell to answer your question about wearing scarves with tops with no sleeves…Yes! You sure can, but NOT with short sleeves…for some reason, a scarf with short sleeves just does not look right!

If I understand correctly-you are saying when wearing a sleeveless top-a scarf is ok but when wearing short sleeves and no jacket a scarf does not work? I really appreciate the help. This work well for me as I wear lots of sleevless tops year round:)

Yes, that is correct… Now that the warm weather is on its way, you will find that a scarf will really be a great way to stretch your fall wardrobe and will really bring new life to a simple outfit!
A nice fitted short jacket will be wonderful with a scarf and you can wear your sleeveless or longsleeved shirt underneath, if you need to layer.

I would like to know if scarves work with a elbow length tee? I bought this scarf and would like to wear it for transitioning into spring for a brown long sleeve tee. Does it work with forest green or what other colors could I wear it with. I thought it would look nice with short sleeve white tee too. I elbow length ok?
What do you think about scarves in summer do they have to be thin or is a wider one ok too?
