Does your mirror show all?
God forbid this should ever happen to you!
Deborah had a garage sale on Saturday and was telling me there was this elegant 50+ gal at her place dressed in a fabulous white pair of capris, with a crisp white shirt and elegant gold and white sandals. Her hair nails and make-up were immaculate and she looked like she had stepped out of a magazine. The only thing was, when you looked at her from behind, you couldn’t help but notice a huge sanitary pad showing through her sheer white pants which ran halfway up her backside, and was showing loud and clear! Talk about embarrassing…. and she had no idea!
Drives home a point I’m (JoJami) always making. Every woman needs a full length mirror to check out she looks like from head to toe, in front and behind, everyday.
I just moved to a rented house while my place gets renovated and was reminded how much I take the full length mirror back home for granted. Suddenly I feel like I don’t know how to get dressed anymore!
I can’t tell if my shoes are working with an outfit, or if everything fits rights. It’s hard to see if my outfits are in proportion.
Dressing is all about the entire ensemble, pulled all together, so that your not looking like your trying too hard, but are still having fun! It’s all in the eye… looking it over and saying to yourself, “yes, this looks good!”
If there is any question in your mind that maybe you need to take off that belt, or try another pair of shoes, listen to your gut, and you will usually be right!
A full length mirror is also a great way to really keep a check on that nasty creeping obesity that comes with middle age. So fashion rule # 1 – get a full length mirror, or you may end up walking around like that poor lady at the garage sale.
