  1. Thank you for sharing- I recently read an article online which stated that woman do not share information for success. I completely did not agree with the writer though she had many reliable sources. I prefer to believe that woman have matured and blossomed through the years and are no longer withholding information because of insecurities. Thank you for representing such a segment in society.

it’s a dilemma for women “of a certain age” to try to dress ourselves. i think we can wear certain clothes found in younger women’s boutiques if they are flattering (very subjective). Dress in some more “age appropriate” clothes and some women might look to dowdy. still wearing the same clothes you wore in the 1980s is a fashion mistake. i address this very subject in my newsletter. i had a bit of a hard time writing that segment because 1) i’m no fashion plate 2) am not an image consultant but i feel i have an opinion about what works. keep up the great work here…

  3. Hi Delta, When we talk about “age appropriate”, we mean it in the sense that some women dress too young as well as too old. It is that fine line of dressing for who we are that can be so tricky. This program is different, in that it talks about what “style” of clothes you should wear based on your physical features and not the latest trends. It is such a great program, for those women who feel like they want to express who they are and are tired of buying thing that don’ make them feel FAB! The biggest mistakes we see are women are falling back on the same old things all the time and don’t know what to do to get out of a rut. Hope you can make the call!!!

  4. Hi La Vita,
Three cheers to you and welcome to our community!! We certainly are all about sharing here and we are glad you have the same values that we cherish. We are not about “competing” but empowering. Women need to feel good about using good grooming and an updated image to get ahead in the world and we are here to help! We look forward to hearing your comments on future posts!

Really their should be over 40 models. Ladies this age are beautiful no matter what the size. Agents should be having calls just for the over 40 category.

  6. When it comes to casting over 40 models for the catalogues, it seems it is just not done. However, More magazine does use over 40 models and they have an annual model search. (This years search is over now) So, you can search our site for more info on that.

Thanks for not making us feel SO ALONE! Specially when we say I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR … in front of a wardrobe that is pretty crowded.
I’ve been following you for more than a year and seems that everything I’ve read, seen, looked at has (finally!) arrived to a “conscious level”.

Therefore, first things first, I’ve tried to clear my clutter (reorganize my closet, or however you say it).
    1. I’ve find v.v.v.v. useful your Ultimate Cure for Disfunctional Closet as well as some reading on zen habits (let’s call it “way to simplicity”) like this one http://zenhabits.net/zen-mind-how-to-declutter/ (that I highly recommend!) and books like “Clear your clutter”, “Clear your clutter, clear your mind”
    2. While shopping during this summer’s sales I’ve put into act your advices (buy less, but better quality; use bright colors – I confess still I have to work on this-; use chunky bijoux, use 3/4 sleeves, show some cleavage….) and I feel v. happy about the results! I would not call them “shopping results” but INVESTMENTS!

    3. … and guess my third step will be “Dressing my truth”

Guess after 40 we reach a maturity that leads you, somehow naturally, to -among others- simplicity and consciousness (about yourself and the whole world around). And our selfimage is part of that.

Keep up the good work! For me, as for many other women, you are making the difference!

    Cheers from Rome,
    Liliana.

  8. Hi Liliana,
Thanks!! Good to hear you are putting some of all this into your life and seeing a change! We love feedback but most of all we hope all our hard work is actually useful. Thanks for letting us know that you think so!!

  9. I’ll definitely look for this book. I know what I am comfortable in…but I blend into a crowd and I would rather be noticed! heehee! ♥
