Madonna’s facelift

This week we nominate Madonna. Although we’ve always enjoyed her music we’ve never been much of a fan of hers personally.
No doubt, she’s a smart and a savy businesswoman, but she has always seemed like a hypocrite; publishing a porn book and necking with Britanny Spears, and then writing sweet little children’s books and complaining to the world that her daughter’s jeans are too tight.
But, recently something happened that has made us like her a little bit more.
“Madge” has come out and said that she has had a facelift. Wow, is that refreshing to hear! It gets so tiring reading about stars who insist that cosmetic surgery, or even botox, is something they would personally never do, (usually because they ” hate needles”), yet they’ve obviously done something!
Madonna never went around spouting off that she’d never undergo cosmetic surgery. And when she did, she didn’t have to admit it to the world. It’s really no one’s business and she could have told asked anyone who asked, just that. Yet, she has freely admitted to having a facelift and added that she is quite pleased with the result. That took guts.
And, we must say she looks fantastic! She’s worked hard on keeping her body keeping super fit, but there’s really no exercises you can do to keep your face as toned too. Her facelift was subtle, and soft, and didn’t make her suddenly look like someone else. She had a good surgeon! For her cosmetic surgery was the right choice.
Madonna’s news is also a relief for women out there who honestly feel that cosmetic surgery is just not for them. Now, every time you look in the mirror you can rest a little easier and feel great knowing that Madonna has had a little help and you’re not aging so badly after all.
I figured she must have. Although I am not a fan of cosmetic surgery, I guess when your face is your meal ticket, you have to take good care of it, even if it means transforming it through surgery.
Good for her. I can’t stand it when those in the public eye lie/deny the obvious, Michelle Pfeiffer for one.
Madonna never admitted to anything. Make me Heal posted a faux confession about her supposed plastic surgery. Clearly Madonna has had something done but why does she need to admit it to a bunch of people she doesn’t know? Why does any celebrity? Also, Madonna can publish her Sex book at one phase of her life and develop and grow as a human being and publish a children’s book. You don’t have to choose between sex and motherhood. I think the problem is not with the celebrities who are doing what they do, have fans who like what they do and people who don’t but the people in this world who sit on the sidelines judging every word and action spoken and taken by others. Who cares if someone had a facelift or boob job. It’s their body, their choice and none of our business.
Madonna is a skank, always has been, she has had more plastic surgery done than almost any other starlett out there over 40, she makes me sick to my stomach, she has NOT admitted anything as far as I know but she is NOT foolling anyone, we are the same age and I always was taken for 5-10 years younger than my real age, until 50, now I get …hey you look great for 50 but I finally have aged, I get angry with these celebs like Michled Phiffer, Goldie Hawn, etc. who think they are fooling anyone….NOT Madonaa who is your surgen, I need a little facelift myself?
Madonna is gross, everyone knows that excerise alone does not a great body make, she had 2 kids right, where is the baby belly that all my wifes friends have and they are younger than Madonna, menapause makes that even worse my wife tells me all the time so Madonna you are not fooling anybody and your face looks kinda weird, who did your facelift??? You should get your money back. My wife looks beter than her and she only has had botox!
Wow, people get so emotional when it comes to celebs and looks! This is something I don’t understand… so what?
Listen, I had a facelift when I was 44, and it enabled me to look 10-15 years younger for the past 20 years. So what? Since that was important to me (I was single at the time and a former model), I made that decision.
I still look great “for my age” and why not? Here’s how young I look: I recently went to the hospital with bad abdoominal pain and the nurse immediately did a pregnancy test! She hadn’t looked to see I was 63…
When you place importance on how you look, then you do what you can to maintain your best. If it’s not important to you, then that’s okay too. Each person decides what to do and there is no right or wrong here.
Why are people judging Madonna? I don’t get it. So what?

It’s surprising how upset everyone seems about this topic. We originally read Madonna admitted to a facelift, and so now it comes out she never did. In the end, who knows, who cares? It’s really her choice to discuss it or not. She’s damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t.

Jojo I have several friends that have had 2 and 3 children and they don’t have a baby belly. They exercise pilates and yoga and eat very well …don’t know what you are talking about. I have had two babies and don’t have a belly. ???
madonna rocks and will live still live on when we are all six feet under. if u like her or not it makes no difference, she is undeniably a ledgend in her own time!
She should get over herself and accept her age. Stop trying to be someone you’re not
Madonna is one of the most surprising women of her age… we should admit that she’s really great whatever means she used.She can afford it so why worry guys.. Let her live the way she wants.
I wish Madonna does not do any (more?)facelifts to show the world how beautyfull a woman young AND OLD can be!! Especialy a woman as beauutyfull as Madonna can not be made any more beautyful with surgery than she nNATURALY is!!!!!

We hear what you are saying, however as far as all women in the entertainment industry, it is very hard for them to compete with the up and coming starlets. Madonna was just on SNL with Lady GaGa looking amazing!! Her body looks so great, and she has done that naturally with a lot of hard work and hours of daily exercising. However, it is impossible to keep your face like your body, so she has had to resort to plastic surgery. Would it be better that her face look old and her body young? We need to give these poor women a break. It is very competitive out there and it is a matter of choice to have plastic surgery or not. There is a lot of pressure to be thin and youthful. We Glam Gals are here to inspire women over 40 to be the best they can be, no matter what shape or how many wrinkles or grey hairs they have. Dressing can be fun and be a way to express who you are. i don’t really care when a celebrity such as Madonna have cosmetic surgery done on their face such as face lift surgery. Well, its part of the business to look good all the time or else you will be outrank by new talents that are young and talented. just part of business.
