Rosettes are right on for Spring
Just realized that everything’s coming up Rosettes for Spring.
I just bought these cute black leather flats by Anne Klein with the dramatic black and gold rosette. They’ll go with lots of things I have and I love that they are i-flex- bendable and so comfy!
I’m going to wear these flats with my skinny black jeans and a bright long flowy top or sweater.
Without even thinking about the rosette theme I also happened to pick up this cute pink t-shirt in Florida to wear with my white ankle zippered clam diggers.
Once I had the top home and remembered the shoes I had just bought, it struck me that rosettes must be big this spring. So, I mentioned it to JoJami and we went on line searching for rosettes. There was lots. Here’s a sampling of some great pieces we found.

A word of caution here……
just as with animal prints, don’t over do it. If you are going to wear a rosette top, do not also wear rosette shoes or carry a bag with a rosette on it. It’s too much. One rosette at a time is our rule.

Oh wow, I have always liked Black and white Market but I do find this one outfit way too busy.
Talbot’s has an adorable skinny patent belt in many colors with a rosette. I bought it in black patent and have received many compliments. I think it may be my “rosette of the season” although the Bottega Veneta earrings are awfully tempting…

Good point! It is tempting to think, oh, I loved roses and they will match….yikes, the “matchy mathcy” word! That is when turning a fashion trend can turn into a fashion disaster!
The way to keep looking “hip” is not by matching but pulling looks together, so they look effortless. This can be harder said than done!
Sounds like you have a “fashion” style going in your closet and friends might start associating you with roses! Not a bad thing… can be fun, but you might find yourself “with everything coming up roses” when a gift giving time rolls around!
I am crazy for rosettes, have to calm myself down and use them in moderation, as you say, but they are already “living” in my closet.
