It seems to me if a woman starts getting evasive or defensive about age, you’ve pretty much broadcasted to the world that you are older and are insecure about it. As for me, I turned 50 this past 50 and have no shame about it. Some people do get the privilege to turn 50. Besides, I think it’s more effective to lie upwards of your age. Tell folks you’re 10 years older and then hear ‘em coo “oh you look so YOUNG for your age!” LOL

I used to tell my age. I was proud of it and always have looked younger than I am.(55)
Most people think I am 39-42. However, it is true that there is age discrimination with men and in the work place so I avoid even mentioning it most of the time. Then it truly is not an issue. In the work place it is illegal to ask so there is no obligation to tell though this information can be found out easily on the internet if someone wants to know. If someone flat out asks me how old I am and I want to tell…then I do. If I don’t want to tell…then I usually say…”definitely over 30″

I have never lied about my age because I shouldn’t have to and luckily for me, I don’t look my age (47). I can honestly say that whenever I have met a new person and they find out/ask my age, they are quite surprised. I most often get 37 to 39 as the age people think I am. Must be doing something right (and it is not Botox!) LOL.

I wouldn’t lie about my age, I’m proud of who I am and the great shape I’m in. And I wouldn’t want to deceive anyone. However I know that I am not marketable on the on-line dating sites.Men my age,50, aren’t looking for a 50 year old woman.Like it or not,even the paunchy 50yr old men still think they can score a hot 30yr old.

I don’t mind admitting my age at all. Except at work, where I fear discrimination.
