More Re-Invention Convention: Make-up tips for after 40 skin!

What can you do to look younger and updated when it comes to make-up?

It turns out that there was plenty of re-invention and inspiration going on this year at the NYC More conference!

So who better to chat up than, celebrity make up artist for Armani, Tim Quinn while he was preparing for the Beauty Intervention workshop.

Glam Gals: Hi Tim, what can you tell us about fall lip  color?

TQ: We are moving away from the “nude” lip and doing lots of plum and mauve. Of course for holiday, red is always popular, but you will want to use a Coral Red vs. a deep red.

Glam Gals: Many of us are seeing that our necks are starting to loose their elasticity, any tips for that?

TQ: Really all you can do is to make sure to moisturize and keep out of the sun!

Glam Gals: What other common mistakes do you see women making?

TQ: You need to change the way you apply blush after 40. Don’t focus on the apple of the cheek, instead apply it higher and up on the top of the cheekbone. Then swipe up and blend toward the hairline. Also don’t be afraid to try a bronzer and use it for softening the jaw line and brighting up the face!

Glam Gals:  What is your favorite product these days?

TQ: I absolutely adore our new eyecream, Creama Nera. It can be applied under or over your foundation. It even comes with a little mirror so you can dab it on at anytime during the day to keep up with moisturizing!  It gives you a little dewey glow that is very youthful!

Glam Gals: We are noticing that our eye lashes and eyebrows are starting to thin as we age, HELP!

TQ:There are some great products out there and they really do work, my favorite is NuLash.

I love the smooth silk eye pencil because it is so soft and smokey. The foundation is also excellent and JoJami loved it.
