Hi Glam Gals!
My husband, a college professor, was just offered a summer teaching opportunity in Nanjing, China! We will be there for 6 weeks and I understand the weather will be very hot! This will be an adventure! I will definitely be packing my workout clothes – but beyond that I’ve got to start working on a plan! I’ll turn 59 while on this trip (July/August) – so maybe this birthday won’t count? Here is a picture of me at my recent 40thhigh school reunion (on the right). My friend with me is Robin – we’ve been best friends since we were 13!!
My thoughts are lightweight summer, easy care dresses, skirts and tops. We will probably have several functions as well as trying to sightsee and tour.

Today, Deborah and I hosted a Find Your WOW Style workshop at the Verity Club in downtown Toronto. It was a full day of exploring how to dress to look updated, authentic and totally Fabulous after 40.
And did we have fun!
Many of the gals were trying to learn how to overcome their love affair with black.
Everyone was excited to learn our style recipes for new outfits, especially for weekend and casual looks.
Overall, it was an exciting and inspiring day with lots of “aha” moments! Thank You Ladies. You are all beautiful and it was our pleasure to help you Tweak your Chic. ®

Well, if you aren’t a throwback to “That Girl” I don’t know who is. CONGRATULATIONS is all I can say for sporting a fabulous do, and looking so fun and fabulous while you wear it. Transitioning into fall can be frustrating. One day it’s hot, the next cool. It’s October so you don’t want to look like you’re still wearing your summer clothes yet it’s not cold enough to break out the turtlenecks. Time to “shop” in your closet, use one of your light weight dresses, add a few accessories or layers to transform your dress into a new outfit. That’s what we call dressing Chic on the Cheap!
Here are a few tips on how to gently transition into fall:
Wear darker, richer colors
Take a simple cotton dress and add a stretch belt
Tie on a light weight scarf
Time to get out the boots, especially on those rainy days
