Just HAD to share with you ladies a few pictures I took yesterday. I (JoJami) was in Beverly Hills getting my hair colored at Christophe Hair Salon and thinking about the post Deborah had just written about maxi dresses when in walks this gorgeous gal and her new 3 month old puppy! First off what a WOW color on her and I really admired the way the top was all beaded!
This maxi can be worn casual for day with flats or dressed up with some pretty heels for dinner!
She paired it with some little flat sandals. So comfortable yet chic!
The neckline was heavily beaded, oh so pretty!
NYC last week, looking very bleak!
Last week I (JoJami) took off to NYC for some culture and good food! After getting so many letters from you ladies on how hard it is to come up with outfits to wear that you can be comfortable in and not look frumpy, here is a quick peek into what some of your options might be!
First off, you have to really plan ahead. We had planned on spending the entire day walking around the city. Our first stop was going to be the NYC Botanical Gardens and afterward we planned on visiting the Frick Museum. The next day we scheduled a walk in Central Park and were off to rent bikes in Chelsea. On top of everything, rain was in the forecast!
My friend Lisa called me the week before and was worried that all she had was flip flops to wear. I told her to make a quick trip to the discount shoe store DSW and find some cute walking tennis shoes.

Meanwhile, I took my own advice and found some updated Converse that had a little more support than the normal flat ones.

Well, our plans did change since it started raining like crazy…but we did make it to the Frick and HIGHLY recommend it! More over we walked our booties off all day and the next in comfort! (However, our hair didn’t do as well as our feet!)

You might recognize this glamorous woman… this is my (JoJami’s) mother, and my mentor!! Here is JoBee a few weeks ago, getting ready to go out with my daughter to dinner. She has on a BCBG sweater dress that she is wearing as a top with a pair of Vince classic straight legged pants. She threw on a long light weight jacket over it all. Her suede short boots have a platform, so the heel is high but comfortable!

Next, this 70 plus artist is one of our readers from NYC. Helene has a cool site about wonderful NYC art exhibits in NYC and gives tours!
Here she is sporting a gorgeous chunky necklace and great hoop earrings, looking happy and radiant. (If you need more info on how to update your accessories check out our post)
Moreover, we love their hair! Both of these gals have gone blond instead of grey and look great doing so!

On a recent trip down to Florida, we were thrilled to see women on the street decked out and looking absolutely hip and gorgeous.
Here are some great looks that we hope will inspire you if you are planning a trip down south.
At Saks we were greeted by this chic saleswoman. Look how she took a classic silver shift and really made it her own. What a great way to wear a scarf, and she sure pulled off wearing those leggings! Love the silver cuff, and the way the mules pull it all together. WOW! She sure has style.
Next, we managed to pull some strings and get a table for lunch at Taboo. While we were there, we were treated to some informal modeling by these lovely ladies (both over 40!)
This spectacular model, in her electric blue shirt from the Jackie Robbins boutique, looked crisp and cool.
This gal was showing a frilly frock from Luca Luca. Not a look for everyone, but it looked great on her. The wider straps made the outfit not feel so bare.
After lunch it was time for some more shopping. Right away we spotted this hottie in a jacket from Saks. Great shoes- we had to get a close up!
Isn’t she a great example of how you can wear fun sexy shoes at any age!
Here is etiquette coach, Lisa Richey (Founder of The American Academy of Etiquette) and JoJami, in front of Chanel. We saw so many bright prints in Florida and Lisa really fit right in, wearing her new Elie Tahari dress. JoJami paired her comfy J. McLaughlin Safari dress with a wide belt and Donald Pliner wedges.
