Fabulous After 40 reader Debbie, who lives in Wisconsin, is proof that you don’t have to sacrifice style when the temperatures dip below freezing. Take a look at how Debbie stays warm and fashionable.
Think you are too old to sport the moto-inspired fashions that are all the rage these days? Think again!
Debbie, 61, loves her edgy black leather jacket. Here she is wearing it with a pair of black, skinny moto jeans adorned with sporty, zippered pockets and a cozy, winter sweater that she picked up from her favorite resale store. I love the way she has accessorized her look with a sassy, knit beret, and sexy, tall, black boots.
If you’ve been thinking about buying a moto jacket, but have no idea where to start, take a look at a few of these options. They are gorgeous and don’t shout “Biker Chick!”
We all have a favorite item in our wardrobe that we wear over and over again.
For Debbie, it’s this black skirt.
She’s managed to get fantastic mileage out of it by constantly freshening it up with different tops.
Here are a couple of her favorite ways to style it. Sometimes she likes to pair it with a very colorful geometric print sweater.
Other times she likes a more muted look.
Debbie usually wears black tights with both outfits, but mixes up her shoe choice. For a casual look, Debbie wears red driving shoes in red that play off the color in her sweater. Black leather booties dresses up Debbie’s other outfit.
And Just for fun…..
Plaid was the “it” pattern of Fall 2013, and as you would expect, the trend carried over into the holidays. Looks like Debbie has a Ho Ho Happy Time in this look this past Christmas!
Thanks for showing us how to dress fashionably for cold weather, Debbie. You have a great sense of style.
