What are you wearing to bed, this summer?
We girls all talk fashion all the time, but when it comes to what we are wearing in the privacy of our own bedrooms, well it is certainly not something we usually compare notes on!
With record heat and if you are prone to a hot flash or two, what to wear to bed this summer, is a big question!
Last week I went outlet shopping with a friend and of course there are always rows and rows of nightgowns, p.j’s and of course the sexy nighties…
Just for fun I tried on a really dreadful pair of pajamas.
Tips for finding a new sleeping outfit:
1) Touch the fabric first, if it is soft and comfortable that is good!
2) Try finding styles with a low v-neckline, these are usually most flattering!
3)Stay away from crazy patterns, they will be too stimulating! At night you want to put on something that is soothing~
4)Make sure to try them on. I usually go a size larger, so that they are comfortable!
One of favorite brands are Cosabella, however they can be on the pricey side.
Here is a pair that are fun:
If you are feeling dumpy in your night time jammies… run out and try to find a pair that you will be comfy and feel a little sexy in too! (JoJami at the Neiman Marcus Last Call outlet, in Limerick, PA)

LOL…well that is certainly easy and not at all matronly!!
What do I wear to bed? Skin!
Natural fabrics like cotton or silk. I wash silk never dry clean it. Polyester is the worst for night sweats. Not too baggy. And none of those ugly slippers. An old cashmere sweater in winter is actually wonderful and for those of you who think wow too much investment in sleeptime clothing, i am a treasure hunter and thrift stores and the washer/drier combo gives me ultimate luxury at a reasonable price.
Hi Linda, Yes! I (JoJami) live in a cold climate and even in the summer feel chilly, so for years I liked to wear p.j.’s. However, these days with night sweats, I am finding a little nighty to be super duper comfy!! Good suggestions!
I snap up EVERY silky shortie set or gown I find, nowadays, that fits, because it seems to me as though the only things people are selling are dull-looking pyjama pants and tees. I don’t know how other people wear these, because if it crawls around my legs or binds as I try to turn in my sleep I have a really bad night. I happily have a fairly good stock of spaghetti strap gowns and a couple of short top over thong sets in the house. I guess when those wear out, I’ll have to resort to my husband’s t shirts or sleeping in the nude all night. What’s wrong with designing nice gowns with filmy robes any more???
Any old top and panties!
