‘Tis the season for sparkle and shine! This week’s my readers glisten in glistening party dresses.
Donna ( far right) is a loyal reader. Here she is with her three beautiful sisters, all dressed to the nines for holiday party time. Looking Fabulous Ladies!!! These dresses would be perfect for New Year’s Eve too.
Touch of Sparkle
These readers bought their dresses at www.peterkate.com, a favorite boutique in Delaware. Left- Just a touch of sparkle on the sleeve does the trick. Middle-Left: Sparkle Woven Right into this fabric! Middle-right: Glam Jewelry creates shine, Right: Midnight Blue Sparkle top can be worn anytime.
Red with a touch of gold always looks festive. Top off the look with a pair of luxe velvet pants and you have one fab look. Right – we see a two-tone black dress color blocked in sparkles. Subtle but festive! (from www.peterkate.com)
A Passion for Purple at Holiday Time
Left: Full on glitter in gunmetal looks rich and modern. Center- royal purple silk accented with gold is a gorgeous and-and modern holiday dressing choice. Right-Vivacious in Velvet! ( All from peterkate.com)
Yes, it is a sparkle color blocked skirt, but look at the hose. These shiny stockings are so festive and fun. What other time of the year can you get away with such a glam look? ( from www.peterkate.com)
Black and Gold
Here’s Donna again ( the gals with the sisters) going to another party in a gold metallic and black velvet dress. She wore this to an event hosted by the Volunteers of America at The Plaza in NYC. Although she lives in New Jersey, Donna loves NYC at holiday time. This photo was taken at home just before leaving. Donna, you look dazzling!
Fabulous for a Holiday Fundraiser
Julia, 49, from Washinton D.C., wore this beautiful metallic silver dress to a fundraiser in Bel Air, California. The sheath style is easy to wear, and the length is perfect for a woman 40, 50, 60 and beyond.
Julia purchased both the dress and shoes at Talbots. She accessorized her silver dress perfectly with a dark red clutch and a light shawl with heels to match. A tip: If you wear a metallic dress, it’s best not to accessorize with metallics. Choose a brighter, contrasting color for the accessories and keep the color the same for all accessories.
Two Stunning Dresses, Two Separate Occasions
Maha, 50, chose two uniquely different dresses for two different holiday parties this season. They both look fab. Both fit and flatter her body so well. I can’t decide which one I like best. Maha, You look spectacular in both!
Shining in Silver
Wow, Cindy looks like a Christmas package beautifully wrapped up in this glam silver dress. One shoulder dresses are popular at holiday time because they a little bit sexy, but still look elegant.
Fabulous After 40 in Copper
Dianna shines in this copper shift dress that she wore to a church charity event. Her skin and hair have warm undertones making this color a perfect complement.
To let the dress take center stage Dianna kept the jewelry very simple. “I know my shoes are a bit “matchy, matchy”, but I had them, and I didn’t want to spend more money on the outfit. I figured the dress was the point anyway.”
Lovely, Dianna! Thanks to Everyone who sent in photos!
