Can you tell me where to purchase the hat worn by Meryl Streep in, It’s Complicated?
    Thank you.

    Great stuff!!

  5. I mentioned a couple of books on my blog today….http://lavenderdreamstoo.blogspot.com/
and my girlfriend, Stacey from Poofing the Pillows told me I needed to visit your blog! I am SO excited to see the topics you are writing about and I really enjoyed your video! You are both beautiful ladies and I can’t wait to spend time here and learn about tweaking my style! I am ‘older’ than you but I am healthy and happy….and I feel great! I would just like to wear prettier clothes. I think I am stuck in a ‘too casual’ look! I know I am in the right place! Scrunch over…I need a spot! heehee! ♥ Thanks! ♥

I think 40 is too young for you to be pitching at. Try 50. If a woman has a slim figure at 40 she can still shop on the high street without looking like mutton.

  8. Hi Tabitha,
Welcome..and we want your voice! Tell what you like and don’t like! That is the fun of it all…
    Thanks for writing in!

I just went back to work after raising 2 children…I need help! I don’t know my style and don’t know where to start with regard to my wardrobe. I need to look business casual EVERYDAY! yikes! We don’t have a lot of shopping in my town..please advise? Thanks you I enjoy you two,
    Mary Jo

  10. Hi Mary Jo,
First thing we would suggest is to get a budget together on what you want to spend. Then you need to take an assessment of your wardrobe and make a list of what you need to update. You will need to be very picky on what you purchase and what your goals are. Read through our site, we have lots of good ideas for you to use.
If you want more help, check out our e-book, like The Glam Plan and Chic on the Cheap, How to Dress on a Budget.
    Good Luck!

I’ve been seeing a lot of people wearing rain boots with/without liners for winter. I’m 55 and slim build – I bought a pr of red rain boots from Esprite today – similar to the hunter boots, only much cheaper. I thought I might wear them in the spring with straight leg jeans (blue or black), or tights, and my black Audrey jacket from Lulu’s…….is this age approprate, or will I look like I’m having a middle age crisis? I thought I might buy myself a red umberella?!

  12. Hi Deb,
JJ here..You certainly can wear your red rain boots since they are really more practical than fashionable. We are sure you will get some nice complements on them since they are a festive color! Just for the record, Esprit is a store for the younger kids and the quality might not be as good as others. I (JoJami) did happen to pop into an Esprit at an outlet recently, just wondering what styles and types of things that they had. I was seriously dissapointed and really did feel like I was out of my comfort zone in this teeny bopper store! BUT..your boots do sound like they will be fun to have and you should go out and enjoy them, just didn’t want to give this store a “banket” thumbs up to shop in, since I did find most of the merchandise to be a bit on the young side.
