Although this is not something I would wear, she looks darn nice! I would have worn black slacks with that. I wonder if the people making bad comments are from the sloppy, stained, badly dressed people I see everywhere?

I think this woman looks fantastic. I’m rather shocked by some of the hateful comments. Debra Rapoport has tremendous style and flair, I absolutely love the look shown in this photograph. She’s obviously not a member of the herd, she’s a trend setter in her own right. I’m also in awe of her luck shopping at Salvation Army…I wonder how much time she spends doing it?

I thought she was a standout as well! i had a wonderful chat with her and she was proud that she spent so little on her wardrobe (nothing over $20.00) and yet was having so much fun letting her creative style shine through! She had so much confidence and joy… a true inspiration!

I absolutely LOVE Debra’s style and follow Advanced Style on a daily basis. I am continually inspired and feel encouraged by the beauty of self expression!!! At the age of 67, I too acquire most of the elements of my outfits through recycling (consignment stores, estate sales, thrift shops) and have done so for years. I find it to be fun, challenging and friendly to our planet.

I always say, “Life is too short to be frumpy”…Advanced Style is such a fresh site of creative and wonderfully fun women!

The pants are too short in my opinion also. However vive la difference. It would be a boring world if we all dressed the same. She’s still a gorgeous looking woman.

Good take on the nails.. yes we agree a more neutral nail polish would look better!

I think this post hits on the issue of how to dress and we go into our 60s and beyond. We get those awful liver spots on our hands starting even in our 50s ! What clever magic to use large accesories to pull the eye to the ring or bracelet and away from the hands. Also her whole outfit radiates an attitude that says “I’m here – I’m older – and I’m fabulous !”. Advanced Style is a great site. Thanks for sharing it :)

You know, when I asked her to take a picture of her rings, she said, “liver spots and all!”. She just radiated confidence!

Her style of dressing is extreme, it’s fun to see people embrace a unique look that is totally them.

Fabulous! You should feature more successful second hand shoppers. Stylish, creative, inexpensive and ecological!
