Breathtaking Beading
What woman doesn’t love a sparkly dress? Cute little numbers like these with their intricate beading and sparkling embroidery make us drool. They’ll all the fashion this spring and a fun thing to consider if you have some kind of big event coming up where you really want to go all out, live the fantasy and look fab after 40.
As for us gals with more regular lives, how can you take this trend from runway to reality? We have a great example below.
Take a crisp pair of white pants and pair them with this stylish Tory Burch tunic adorned with some sparkly jewels. Not only will you look on trend, but the mosaic embellishment acts as a focal point drawing the eye up and away from problem areas like a thick waist or generous bottom half. This is a great casual look for a woman over 40 and would be a super thing to pack for a vacation down south, as well. Will you buy the beaded look this spring? Let us know what you think.

I agree about Ulla Pollen. Great clothing & they’re all appropriately sized. I usually pick up tunics in all colors sizes (if they don’t have full figured ) & I alter them to accommodate my size & proportions. I bead them & use embroidery as well so I can have something very different from others women are wearing. I know no one will have what I’m wearing.
I completely agree with the power of beading. For curvy ladies, no one does it better than Ulla Popken and at an affordable price. Forgive the Ulla Popken plug, but Tory Burch and too many other designers, are just not thinking of those of us who wear plus size.
I’ve worn this same outfit for the past few summers and it always feels fresh. I believe I picked up my tunic at Marshall’s and it’s hard to tell that it was a cheapo. With the right jewelry and shoes, no one would ever know.
I love this look, and will be on the look-out for a lightweight, but crisp tunic that has some bling. I already have the bag, pants, and sandals.
Love, love, love this look!
I loved the look until I saw the price of the tunic. I guess not.
Hi Lisa,
I understand sometimes things are pricey that I show…but just use it as inspiration and see if you can find something similar.
