If you’re looking for ways to stretch your wardrobe, then be on the lookout for a classic print top that’s easy to mix and match.

I picked up this cute chain print cowl neck top and discovered it was perfect with so many things I already owned. Take a look at the 3 ways I styled it, and how well it worked to convey three different moods.

LOOK # 1   Cozy Wozy

This cute cowl neck top is easy to style for many reasons. First of all, the colors black and gold work with everything. The chain print is classic and not too busy, and the style is slim and streamlined, so it works with many layering pieces.

The first thing I pulled from my closet was this cozy grandpa cardigan you probably saw me wearing earlier in the fall with a leopard print blouse. The color is an excellent match with the gold chain print, and the chunky ribbed knit looks warm and cuddly over this lightweight stretchy top. I pushed up the sleeves and, boom, a very cute look with a black quilted bag and some black suede booties!

The black base head to toe with the gold ribbed sweater open on top creates a long, lean dark line down the center of your body, which is very slimming.

Look # 2, Elegant

The second thing I found in my closet was this sophisticated long camel vest I wore on the blog a while back.  Again, this is a no-brainer because the color goes so well with the gold and black. A vest like this is great during transitional times like fall and spring. I don’t wear this much in the winter because it’s so long, and I have to fold it up and scrunch it under my winter jacket if I go outside.

As you see, I added a leopard print bag with this. Some of you may be afraid to mix prints, but it’s no problem so long as both prints are in the same color family, and the prints are slightly different sizes. Here the leopard print is bigger than the chain print and a little more intense.

Look #3 Rock On

Here’s the last look. This time I’m pairing a leather jacket with the chain print top. It’s a beautiful caramel color, but I also have a burgundy leather jacket that I tried on that looked fantastic too. The leather mixed with the aristocratic chain link print is interesting. It gives the outfit a slightly edgier look.

I call this my cool-girl look because it’s a little bit more rock and roll. If you like the idea of a jacket, but not leather, then try a blazer.
