Blue Velvet Jeans are the focus today in my 2 Ways/7 Days series, where I style one item in two different ways. I am a big believer in getting maximum wardrobe mileage out of everything I buy, and I hope I’ve been helping you see how you can do the same.

Velvet is a HUGE trend this fall, and the beautiful thing about it this time around is that women are wearing this luxe fabric in every way imaginable. Once reserved for holiday-time clothing, velvet is a classy, hip way to update your casual wardrobe. Velvet turtlenecks and tees are very popular, but so are velvet jeans.
My favorite happens to be blue velvet cocktail dresses, blue velvet jeans; you name it because blue velvet is just so rare.
Blue Velvet Jeans – Dressy Look
The great thing about blue velvet pants is they’re dressy like dark denim but more regal. Try pairing them with something like a bell sleeve, cream sweater, which is far more formal and romantic than your everyday crew neck or button-up sweater. This is a perfect outfit for a casual dinner out or if you are dropping by a friend’s holiday party.
Accessories can add a lot to the look. These feminine bow-tie flats with the pretty studs and gold chain link bag have an elegant, ladylike quality.
Also, If you like a sexy, more dressy look, swap out the nude shoes and bag for black high heels and a sexy black sweater or silky blouse instead of the cream sweater. Hint- Navy looks fantastic with black!
Velvet Jeans – Casual Look
With velvet is having a daytime moment, you can wear it anytime, any place. Blue velvet jeans look fabulous by day with something cozy like this long-sleeved t-shirt and a pair of booties. And cascading long gray knit vest. Silver/gray accessories create stunning with blue velvet.
What do you think about blue velvet jeans, or would you feel more comfortable in black velvet jeans? I love those too and wear them all the time.
