If your mind has shifted to fall, but the weather remains more summer-like, what do you wear to get you through September to mid-October? The solution is easier than you think. Wear light fabrics but in darker colors.
Here are 3 casual outfits that do just that, helping you bridge the gap from one season to the next.
Black and White Outfit
Black and white always look chic and is the perfect color combo for January through December. It’s very easy to build a fall look by starting with one of your favorite black tees; in this case, it’s this cute black and white cape sleeve tee. Add a pair of inky black straight-leg jeans and cute black sandals for a fabulous early fall look. As temperatures drop, replace the sandals with black booties and a layering piece like a long cardigan or blazer.
Animal Print T-shirt Dress
A cute lightweight T-shirt dress in an animal print-like leopard is one of the easiest ways to look fall-like in warm weather. This is one of my favorites because it’s soft, stretchy, and comfy. It’s the same dress I wore all summer in stripes, floral prints and dots! ( I have several versions of this Amazon bestseller.)
The drawstring waist gives this dress a relaxed fit and makes it easy to hike up or let down the skirt. If you’re heading back to the office after summer, toss on a cute black jacket like this to give it a professional look, or wear it on weekends with cute black statement sneakers.
A Burgundy T-shirt and Faux Leather Jacket
Anything Burgundy feels like fall, and so does a bit of leather. I love this slim-fitting, stretchy t-shirt with its flattering square neckline. You can wear it with jeans for a casual look. Top it off in the cooler evenings with a lightweight camel-colored cropped moto jacket.
