4 Everyday Outfits to Ease You Into Fall

It’s only mid-August, but the shift to fall is happening in our minds and in our wardrobes. If you are trying to decide what to wear in that very short window between late summer and full-blown fall, here are some cute and casual everyday outfits to bridge the gap.

1. Brown Jeans

If you’re over white jeans, but not ready to wear black, why not try brown? Brown jeans, or brown anything is one of the hottest trends for fall. Brown is warm and welcoming in both warm and cool temps. Pair your brown pants with a bright white top early in the season ( a darker color can come later).

Add a pair of animal print shoes to start tying in the fall neutrals, then finish off the look with a braided black leather bag. Raffia earrings keep this look a tad summery and help tie the look together to create a subtle safari vibe.

2. Red, White, and Blue

When in doubt, and it’s time to transition, go for red, white/taupe,  and blue. This warm fall red is rich and inviting and looks great in a bag, a shirt, or anything else. I love the crisp look of this fun shirt, which, if you look closely, has a cool cat message. Neutral flats keep the outfit elegant, along with classic jewelry.  For the latest fall look, try the new straight-leg crop jeans.

3. Fall Khakis

Cropped Khaki cargo pants are a fantastic way to transition into fall. Black announces a change of season, but a touch of white florals in the shirt keeps the mood still light and fresh. When sandals feel too summery now, and it’s too early for booties, try some chic black mules with the elegant chain detail. Wear it out or working from home; this is a great, casual fall look.

4. Mixing White

When you are trying to create an outfit that’s a little bit summer and a little bit fall that you can wear now or later, try this. A white top with a dash of fall color is a good middle ground. Pair your favorite jeans with a white shirt with olive green dots for a fresh summer-early fall feel.

Creamy mules are your replacement for summer slides, but the light color keeps you from looking too heavy when temperatures are still up and down.
