The key to a fabulous wardrobe is having a few great tops that you can mix and match with everything. But the trick is finding just the right top. For me, it’s got to be soft and comfy (#1 on my list), stylish, a great color, and it’s a gem if it can cover up the little bits that are softer and rounder than they used to be, like my tummy and upper arms.
That’s been a tall order until recently when Pauline Durban launched her line of beautiful tops called Covered Perfectly. Maybe you’ve heard me tell her story before?
Pauline’s idea was born out of her frustration trying to find a top that looked and felt great, but could also cover and camouflage. So, she set out to design her own and hit a home run! Pauline sent me a top to test drive and here are the results.
Short sleeves don’t look very sophisticated, and long sleeves cover up so much that you wind up looking frumpy, especially once the warm weather hits. I love 3/4 length sleeves because they’re sporty like you’ve casually pushed up your sleeves to reveal a little skin and showing a little skin is youthful and sexy! I’m wearing a size small, but they go all the way up to plus size too.
Now, did I mention comfort?….. because that’s something Pauline has down pat. Covered Perfectly tops are made of micro-modal fabric that I found to be very soft and luxurious on my skin. These are the kind of tops you forget you have on because they are so light and soft. You can just throw them in the washing machine, or roll them up and toss them in your suitcase and you are good to go. No fuss, that’s what I like.
This is the Mandy top. I chose coral from the many colors available because it works for my warm hair and skin. This feminine empire style top gently gathers under your bust and then drapes elegantly down to cover your tummy, with no cling. All eyes go up to that fabulous neckline, and I think it does wonders for the bust!
I wore this with leopard print skinny jeans and my new gold sandals + a touch of jewelry to pull it all together.
Here is the same top worn with a navy jeans. I had a hand-blown glass necklace from Venice in my jewelry drawer I hadn’t worn for a while, and it seems to work beautifully with this. All Covered Perfectly tops are made in the U.S., and there is free shipping and returns within the U.S. Prices range from $39.95-$59.95
I’m modeling solid colored tops, but some fabulous prints are available too if you are more of a pattern gal. Be sure to hop on over to Covered Perfectly to see what’s new, and how one of these tops can stretch your wardrobe.

They both look great. The first one, Simple Comfort is my favorite, you could have one in every color.
I love the Red T with the 3/4 lenght sleeves, definitely a must have wardrobe staple!
I also really, really love your Leopard print pants!! Where did you get these? They look fab!!
I love both of these tops. I’m always looking for tops that can cover my arms a little better, too. Wish there were even more choices out there.
Ann Taylor seems to do a lot of tops with longer sleeves.
