Lace-Up Shirtdress is Light and Easy for Summer

One of the things I love about summer is being able to slip on something light and simple, and then I’m off! There’s no layering of pieces, wearing a heavy coat, boots, and all the rest of it.

Here’s a perfect example of what I’m talking about.

This cute, silky shirtdress makes summer dressing easy! You can wear it now as is or with leggings in the fall.

I have a few summer shirtdresses, but the color and pattern of this one really caught my eye.

If you look closely, you’ll see what looks like a camo print is actually a bunch of florals. It’s a clever way of making camo look more feminine. This softer camo print is much more my style.

And don’t you love those colors? They’re like traditional camo colors, but again slightly different. Yes, there’s khaki green, but there is also burgundy, coral, and blush! What a pretty way to liven up what is typically a dull, masculine color scheme!

Then there’s the neckline! Lace-up style tops have been trendy lately. I like the clever way they incorporated this trend into this dress. The lace-up neckline makes the dress look so chic and relaxed looking!

I’ve paired this dress with a pair of blush/nude suede slides. Suede goes with the camo feel and is a nice contrast to the silky material. Flats sandals would also be perfect with this dress since most shirtdresses are on the short side.

I like my crossbody bag with this dress too. It’s got a sporty feel, just like the dress.

There it is! It’s a pretty cute look for running errands and perfect for your summer vacation. Best of all, this dress is a smart way to go from summer into early fall.

  1. Hi Deborah, I love your blog but honestly $298 for a dress? Many of us cannot afford that for a dress and I work! Let’s get real about cost if we can and put dresses and clothes on these blogs that actually the “average” person can afford.

  2. The dress looks lovely on you. But how about some more affordable options, not everyone can spend $178.00 on one dress.
