SPRING & SUMMER

The Prettiest Lace Tops For Spring and Summer

Romance is in the air judging by all the pretty lace tops I’ve seen lately. A lace top is an easy way to give a casual outfit some feminine flair.

Lace Top for women

Blush has been a very popular color in the last while and is a beautiful choice for a lace top. This soft, peachy pink shade is universally flattering and looks dreamy paired with crisp white jeans.

Off the shoulder styles have also been hot sellers. An off the shoulder lace blouse is ultra feminine and adds softness to a pair of soft washed skinny jeans. Don’t forget the dangly earrings. They help draw the eye down to your off the shoulder top and those beautiful, angelic lace sleeves.

You don’t have to wear something super lacy to get the lace look. A small touch of lace on a sporty top will make you look right on trend.

The current way to wear lace is to mix it with casual pieces to tone it down and make it more modern. That includes wearing a cute white lacy top with shorts. Don’t wear too much jewelry with your lace. The lace should be the focus. You don’t want that heavy weighed down Victorian lace and jewelry look.

Look for lace used in interesting ways. For example, a  black lace blouse with sheer sleeves embellished with lace looks rather sexy.

Have you bought a lace top this spring? Send me a photo, and I’ll post it!

  1. I have absolutely fallen in love with the navy lace dress Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, wore in Canada. Would that be appropriate for someone over 40?

  2. Hi Deborah, I recently bought a quite rich cream lace top. It’s not cheap looking & looks quite classy. However, I bought it on a whim & haven’t worn it because ….. I don’t know what to wear it with. I was thinking maybe with jeans & a pair of heels or maybe a slim skirt, any advice most welcome. I’m quite tall 5ft 10 & reasonably slim(ish).

    1. Hi Oz Lucy,
Yes, your idea to wear it with slim jeans and heels would work well! The shoes will need to be just right to really pull it all together! We would love to see a photo of you in your outfit to share with our readers! Always love hearing from you!!

  3. I did buy a deep charcoal lace front button up sleeveless t from jcrew that I’m planning to wear soon. The lace is not “frilly” but almost more of an eyelet style lace. I was thinking of wearing it with white jeans.

  4. I love this advice about lace. Being a lace lover, I would so have worn a t-shirt with a lace trim. But your advice updates the look (and I REALLY need that!)
