Lavender Outfits You’ll Love For Spring
It’s almost spring, and while you may not be able to smell the lavender quite yet, you sure can see it! The stores are getting stocked up on the prettiest purple around, lovely lavender!
This soft, sweet shade is very popular this season and brings a lightness and femininity to fashion that is fresh and enchanting. Here are three lavender outfits + ideas for how to put together a lavender fashion look of your own.
1. Try Lavender with Soft Gray
For anyone who loves to wear lavender but doesn’t want to go too overboard, here’s a great suggestion. Add some gray. A soft, light gray shade worn with lavender adds weight and authority to your look without dragging you down. This pretty combo, above, is just what I’m talking about. Lavender is very sweet and gentle, and that touch of light gray gives it just the right amount of edginess.
A lavender bag or lavender suede mules are a great way to incorporate this color into your wardrobe, or you can dive in and wear both with this floral lavender top, as I have shown here.
2. Lavender + Ruffles is Romantic
Lavender has been called a grown-up pink and is known for being a romantic color. Anything ruffled in lavender is a gorgeous combo and will make you look delicate and refined. I think crisp white pants are worn with a lavender top always look very graceful, and this outfit is no exception.
If you want the top to stand out, choose neutral accessories to match your pants. However, this doesn’t mean you have to wear white accessories with your white pants. Trying to match whites is a waste of time because it is impossible to get it perfect. Plus, too matchy-matchy can make you look out of date. An almond-colored bag and off-white mules, for example, work just fine with white pants.
3. Mix Lavender with Navy
We all know that jeans go with anything, and they look particularly good with this cute floral lavender sweatshirt that has touches of navy. The lavender tote is a great way to draw out the lavender florals and make that color pop. White loafers upscale the look and are a nice change from sneakers.
Just a note here about the accessories- Do you see how the earrings match the hardware on the shoes- both silver? There’s not a rule to do this, but by matching metals, you do get more of a pull-together, upscale look.
