  1. Just wondering, I am 5 ‘4’ barely, and def. a pear shape..small waist bigger thighs and hips…about 135pds…can I still pull off wearing shirt dresses with leggings? Or will the longer top etc. just make me look shorter and stumpier? thanks.

    1. Hi Novale,
Pear shaped figures can wear a shirtdress. Choose one that is wider at the bottom instead of falling straight down. You don’t want it tight across your hips. You can belt it or buy one with a drawstring waist. Short sleeves will also draw the eye up and away from your hips. Check out this post and look at the navy shirtdress I show.

Also, since you are short, keep your shirtdress above the knee. If you can choose a dark shirtdress with dark leggings you will look taller. So for example a navy shirtdress with black leggings will make you look taller than a bright pink shirtdress with black leggings. Hope that helps. Cheers! Deborah
