Sequin Cocktail Dresses That Make Holiday Parties Magical

Christmas is a special time of year, but with all the stress and running around, let’s face it, we don’t always feel that way.  If you’ve been invited to holiday cocktail party, and want to get into the spirit fast, a sparkly dress can do wonders. Here are four dazzling sequin cocktail dresses that make holiday parties magical. (Plus, check out the sequin holiday party dress I just bought!)

Christmas Tree Sparkle

Light up the room like a Christmas tree in this stunning green, sequin dress. With its flattering wrap style, knee-length hemline, it’s perfect for holiday events. This shimmering evergreen color is all that matters, so keep your bag and your jewelry on the neutral side.

Simple, double hoop rhinestone earrings capture the timeless quality of this dress. It’s the only jewelry you need! This style of dress is timeless, so go ahead and get it. You will wear it again!

Silver Bells Shine

A sleek, sophisticated sheath with gunmetal sequins is your ticket to fabulous over the holidays. Sequins have become so popular this year that they are even being combined with more sequins Take, for example, this chic gunmetal sequin dress combined with a black sequin bag. Glamorous teardrop earrings add more wow factor, as do these sexy heels.

Think you could never pull off a dress like this because of a jelly belly? This is one dress that definitely calls for some shapewear to smooth out any annoying lumps or bumps.

Blue Christmas Dazzle

When Elvis sang Blue Christmas, I don’t think he was envisioning a holiday dress like this. Never-the-less, this stunning navy sequin cocktail dress is sexy and sensational.  The fit and flare style is very figure-flattering to many body types, and the halter-style neckline is va-va-voom, Marilyn Munroe-like. Silver is the best color to pair with a navy dress like this. Metallics work well with all that dazzling shine.

Don’t you love this cool rectangular cocktail bag? It’s so unique!

Warm Toasty Sparkle

You don’t usually see brown holiday cocktail parties, but this dress makes me think we should! This is another beautiful sequin wrap dress, but this one has more of a menswear tuxedo feel than the green one I showed you. The black banding is very rich, and very slimming too. Glam silver slides and a sleek sequin clutch make this outfit magical this time of year!

  1. I love to wear dresses, and the ones you show here are beautiful! But please answer this question: are there still women who wear hose when wearing a dress? Or have they truly become obsolete? Personally, I don’t care for the look of bare legs with a dress, unless it is the hot summertime, or the wearer is very young. I have avoided wearing dresses in the past few years, not knowing if I will look too “dated” wearing pantyhose!

    1. It’s crazy isn’t it Sue? – the way we all avoid wearing dresses for this reason. I do wear hose in winter- the key is your hose needs to be ultrasheer so you don’t notice them. Donna Karan nudes are my favorite but you need to find one that is close to your skin tone. I wouldn’t wear hose with an open toe shoe though. That’s not flattering.
