FALL & WINTER

Snakeskin Print for Fall – Runway to Reality

Animal prints are taking over for fall, including edgy snakeskin print.  Although the head-to-toe snakeskin looks from the runway can be pretty over the top, in real life you only need a touch to appear on-trend.

Exotic snakeskin print boots, tops, dresses, handbags, and shoes, add a touch of sexiness to every outfit.  Here’s how to take snakeskin from runway to reality.

Snakeskin Print Blouse

Snake Skin - Blouse

As with any animal print, a little bit goes a long way. A great way to look on-trend without looking going overboard is to wear a snakeskin print blouse with a pair of black skinny jeans or pants. The black jeans are the perfect backdrop to make a statement and keep the look cool and sophisticated.

Pair the jeans with a pair of modern flat mules and an elegant over the shoulder bag. You’ll look sleek, but not slimy.

Snakeskin Print  Bag

Snake Print - Circle Bag

Accessories are the best way to dip your toe into a trend when you are just not sure if a look is totally you. If you like the idea of snakeskin but can’t see yourself in much of it, then how about a snakeskin bag?

This stunning circle bag with the python print is a statement maker. Circle bags got popular this spring and are the cool bag this fall.  Team a circle bag like this up with jeans and a neutral sweater, so the bag stands out. I like it paired with these fabulous cord booties because they bring texture to the outfit and the vibrant gold color ties in so beautifully with the python bag.

Color can make all the difference with snake print. Warm-toned gals with golden or peachy skin and brown or gold hair look best in this python shades above while cool-toned brunette or blondes with more pinkish complexions and ash hair suit a more black/gray snake-print like the one in the snake print blouse I’m showing.

Snakeskin Booties

Snakeskin booties are another way to work in this newest trend. These sleek black booties act like a neutral and look cool and edgy with leather leggings and a long tunic sweater.

Want to see some other outfits with snakeskin print. I have some great examples here.

  1. I have a pair of snakeskin shoes that I love wearing. I usually pair them with a beige dress to show off the shoes, but to get away from the matchy-matchy, I went closet shopping and came up with a different combo. I’ll see if hubby doesn’t mind taking some pix and will sent you what we come up with.

  2. Hello,
I understand that snakeskin is playing a huge role in fashion right now, but I’m sorry, there is NO WAY I can imagine putting it on my body, in any way, shape or form. It does look nice when done properly, as in some of the examples you have shown, but then I come back around to thinking “snake” and that is as far as I go. I never want to see the dang things, let alone wear, carry, or step into (shoes) them! I guess I’ll have to wait until the next trend makes its way forward — and hope that it does not make my toes curl in horror!

    Happy to “Shed” This Trend,
