Stylish Spring Looks for Less!

Disclosure: Thank You to Walmart for sponsoring this post.

I’ve had many requests for Spring looks for less, so today, I’m excited to partner with Walmart for their We Dress America campaign! I love the campaign’s message about dressing for who you are, wherever you are, and at prices, you can feel good about.

That’s even easier to do now that Walmart has expanded big time into e-commerce. They’re growing like wildfire and have a bunch of new fashion brands that I love, and I’m sure you will too!

As part of the campaign, Walmart asked me to style an outfit from their new collections that were unique to “me.”  I found so many cute pieces that I ended up styling two! Here are the budget-friendly looks I created.

Green shirtdress, leopard print mules, cream hobo bag, safari look outfit from Walmart

Outfit #1

Let me begin by saying I love how Walmart makes shopping easy for the latest trends. Their online store lists several spring trends. All you do is click on one of them to shop for clothes within that trend across all their brands.

For example, I clicked on Utility Chic and found this fabulous Roll-Tab Shirt Dress from Time and Tru that is just my style. This dress is classic, sporty, and right on trend, plus it comes in three other colors. At under $17, it’s a no-brainer!

I wanted to play up the Safari feel of this dress, so I dug deeper and found these darling leopard print mules for $32. They perk up this look and add a touch of fun. I always like to include a bit of a print or some texture when wearing a solid color. It gives the outfit more depth and personality. I kept the bag (under $10) neutral so as not to compete with the shoes and the gorgeous olive color of the dress.

The earrings (under $3!) are perfect. They have a lacy, exotic look, and the burnished metal is very tribal. For the finishing touch, I added this cute, beaded $17 bracelet with a world traveler look, and a pair of chic sunglasses for under $30. My total before tax was just under $109 – Now that is a deal!

I love that I can wear this shirtdress in two ways. It doubles as a long tunic top that looks great with black leggings!

New Brands at Walmart!

Walmart fashion has so many great, new, everyday brands and exclusive partnerships with celebrity brands like Ellen DeGeneres (EV1 collection) and Sofia Vergara.

The best news is they also carry premium brands from Lord and Taylor– 125 to be exact- brands like Lucky Brand, Steve Madden, Ray-Ban, Calvin Klein, BCBG Max Azaria, Nine West, and more. You really should check it out!

Coral eyelet sleeve top, white jeans, nude strappy sandals, starw tote with pompoms, gold lacy earrings outfit from Walmart

Now, let me show you Outfit # 2.

You know I’m a massive fan of the color coral? Well, this pretty coral top spoke to me. It’s cheery, feminine, and a touch playful too. It’s also from Walmart’s Time and Tru brand and sells for under $13. I fell in love with the romantic eyelet flare sleeves, which are very in style now. The pretty gold drop earrings I chose for $42 mirror the sleeves.

The white pants, which sell for under $38, with the coral top, are so fresh and summery, and that cute straw bag with flirty pompoms is perfect with my outfit. It’s a deal at under $20.

The Sam Edelman block-heeled sandals are fab, too- just right the height, with sexy, twisty straps for $60. Nude shoes are always classy and help to elongate your legs.

The complete outfit comes to a very reasonable total of under $173!

Walmart has it all – everyday LOW PRICES  + FREE 2- day SHIPPING on millions of items + FREE RETURNS with no membership fee. You can even order online and pick it up at your nearest store today. 1. I’m excited to see the newer styles at Walmart because one of the latest designers has been one of my daughter’s best friends since elementary school! She spent as much time at my house as she did at home. I went to the final fashion show she did before college graduation and was utterly blown away by her talent. She was able to find a job in NYC within a month of graduation, and I was so thrilled for her! Imagine my surprise when my daughter told me she was designing clothes for Walmart and seeing this new evolution of their clothes! Then, to know that you’ve teamed up with them is truly exciting for me to witness. So very proud of her!

  2. So glad to see fashions at an affordable price. I must admit viewing your blog to get ideas and then find them at lower prices than Nordstrom. I love your suggestions and blog.

  3. I love the utility dress – I’ve been looking for one for a while now. Both outfits are great, and you can’t beat the price point!

  4. Hi Deborah! Let me say that I have noticed the changes in Walmart clothing lately. Yes, they have stepped up their game. I love the outfits you styled! I work from home – not a blogger, and I don’t have many social engagements for which to buy “fancy” clothes. I wear casual clothes most of the time, so I can’t justify spending a lot of money on my clothes. Although I don’t always buy the items I try on at Walmart, I appreciate that they are much more on-trend and affordable. Excellent job, Walmart! And thank you, Deborah, for all the great work you do to keep us over-forty ladies stylish!

  5. I LOVE Walmart clothes and have been buying them for years!! They carry the “trends” while not breaking the bank. I have never had a problem with anything falling apart…..always well made, in my opinion.

It's your life. Make it Fabulous!
