How to Style a Scarf With Jeans
A scarf can be your best friend during transitional times. Fall to Winter and Winter to Spring, it’s a great piece to perk up a cute top or sweater and pair of jeans. Here are some of my favorites and how I like to wear them.
Styling a Plaid Scarf with Jeans in the Fall
A plaid scarf is classic but in these vibrant, pretty pastels colors it feels new and fresh. I love it with this cozy shawl collar sweater and dark wash jeans.
Colorblocked stripes are a great look and these rich colors are perfect against the gorgeous backdrop of fall leaves.
Styling a Artsy Watercolor Scarf with Jeans in the Spring
This elegant, artistic scarf with the soft brushstroke watercolors takes my breath away! I thought my big, bold gold earrings were a fun touch!
My scarf is 52 x 52″, so it’s big and square. They are so many ways you can wear it. I like the casual feel of using it like a shawl or just twisting it and throwing it around my neck to add fun to a shirt or sweater.
And speaking of sweaters… this fine knit pullover is so pretty ( and it’s on sale). I’m in love with that rich green shade. It’s not as dark as a winter forest green and not as warm and bright as a spring grass green. It’s more of a teal, making it perfect to wear as the seasons change.
See how my gorgeous floral scarf pops against the green? It reminds me of a beautiful floral painting on a rich green canvas.
My Paige high-waist jeans are super comfy, almost like leggings. They are baby-soft, and I love the subtle striations that make them look just a tad distressed. It’s hard to find jeans with this finish that aren’t all faded out. I prefer this dark wash. It’s so much more classy and slimming.
I love your blog and your style advice that seems to cover most body types; however, some of us are not in a position to purchase the suggestions you give as they are too costly. We also do not know where to buy less expensive clothing and do not have the time to shop daily at places like winners or Marshall’s. In Canada, we also do not have Marshall’s. Any advice on how to overcome this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Mavis, I did a little research, and here are a couple of great articles with recommendations for online shopping in Canada:https://tinyurl.com/yd4bzvly and https://tinyurl.com/y8q78585. I would also recommend http://www.amazon.ca as well as two great Canadian brands. Picadilly http://www.picadilly.ca
This is a great post! I like the detail on the sleeves of the sweater, too.
Thanks, Wanda, It’s nice to start reshooting clothes. The weather has been so cold, gray, and dull that I stayed away. Stay tuned for more stuff! Cheers, Deborah
You jinxed it, Deborah, because light snow is falling as we speak! I’m wearing full winter gear, including snow boots. It is bitterly cold. I think the Ice Age is here. Sigh.
Hi Anonymous, Isn’t it crazy?? I’m starting to dress how I feel, not for the weather because I can’t wait that long until spring!
