Last week, I was in Washington D.C. at a Conference for the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI). I had a fantastic time, and it was great fun to reconnect with all my colleagues, many of whom are also Fabulous After 40 readers.
What do women, who dress women for a living, wear to an image conference when they know all eyes will be on them? Take a look at all the unique looks.
Yes, she really is an angel. Image consultant Imogen Lamport did her part and donned wings to raise money for the AICI Angel Educational Fund.
Paola Perez was fashion forward in a black leather fringe skirt and bow tie blouse. Take note of this style recipe – You’ll be seeing a lot of this look this fall.
Lynda Jean looked pretty in a painterly fit and flare dress. Her gorgeous cashmere scarf added a pop of color.
Plaid got a modern twist as part of this stylish ensemble. Looking professional and chic! Love the turquoise necklace.
Lia Cervantes rocked this high contrast look and made neon yellow work.
Fabulous After 40 Styleblazer Carol was there and looked radiant in this elegant, minimalist look. Her animal print sandals added a sexy touch.
Dresses seemed to be the number one choice of attendees. They’re easy, feminine and always look appropriate. Don’t you love this sophisticated print sheath on this gal. It works perfectly with her coloring.
Just wanted to Flashback to my first AICI conference in 2011.

Here’s me with Becky Rupiper Greene.
And Fabulous After 40 reader Dawn Staynon!
Which is your favorite look? I’d love to know. Comment below. Stay tuned for part two next week!
I love all the looks! Can’t pick a favorite!
Hi Deborah,
It was interesting to see what image consultants wear to a meeting of image consultants. Your dress looked great with your coloring and I know that muted orange is a big color for fall. I love the monochromatic look of the last dress and the plaid pants were a great pairing with the dark jacket.

I love looking at all the styles, their personalities show through. My personal favorite is Lia’s look. I could totally follow her lead.
Thanks for the fun ideas!

I think they all look great! Every single one of them! I love their style and look forward to part 2!!!
I really love the fringing that is in this season but also think the plaid pants are in great colours that are non-tradtional which makes a nice change.
I love the outfit of the angel. I really like the neon yellow with different shoes and less necklace. I also like the plaid pants.
Loved your dress and it looked beautiful on you! Favorite outfit hands down was the blazer (black, navy?) outfit with the OUTSTANDING pants! She really rocked that outfit!
I’d love to know where you got your wrap dress please!
Thanks!
Hi Suzanne,
That is a DVF wrap and I bought it in the spring. From what I can see, it is no longer available. Nordstrom however carries many other gorgeous Nordstrom dresses. I’d check there. Cheers, Deb
Great looks!
I love that everyone has their own unique style!
if any of the women have blogs, can you please link to them?
I really like all the outfits!! But, of course, right? They all look professional, put together and stylish, yet all are a little different! jodie
