What to Wear with a Yellow Mock Turtleneck
Yellow is the color of bananas and buttercups, so why are we seeing it in the dead of winter? It’s all part of the trend toward bold pops of blooms all year round to perk up your wardrobe and mood. Check out this vibrant way to welcome in the new year!
A cozy sweater is a great way to add some bright yellow to your wardrobe; this one is a beauty. I’ve always been a fan of mock turtlenecks, more so than classic turtlenecks, since the classic ones are so high and close to the neck they accentuate the chin waddle that comes with aging. Mock turtlenecks are a little looser, more relaxed, and more forgiving. (similar sweater here).
This yellow turtleneck sweater is ribbed and reasonably long, so you can wear it out, tuck it in, or do that trendy half-tuck. It fits relatively close to the body, making it look streamlined but not tight. And boy, is it cozy!
Here’s a closer look at this easy-to-wear, very modern-looking, yellow mock neck sweater that also comes in 9 other fabulous colors and petite sizes!
I’ve teamed my yellow mock turtleneck with a pair of black New American jeans for a high-contrast, high-energy look. This is the first time I have worn New American, and I find them to be a great fit and very comfy. I like the subtle black tone-on-tone leopard print of these jeans. They purr instead of roar!
My black velvet Gucci bag, which I’ve had for a while, always goes well with a leopard outfit (remember my leopard wrap dress and this purse?). The suede booties, which I have been wearing with many holiday party looks this year, including my sequin party dress, also look fabulous with this too. That gold heel is so chic.
This outfit is casual, but the sexy leopard-inspired jeans and mirrored gold-heeled booties give it a glam touch.
It’s great to be stepping out in style in 2020 in my yellow mock turtleneck. I’m ready for some fun. How about you? To shop this look, click the small shop photos above.
