Over and over I get the same question: “Where can I buy casual clothes that are fashionable and modern and that don’t make me look like an old lady or my teenage daughter either?”
I know what you mean. It’s hard to find a clothing company that gets it, until now! I’ve just discovered a wonderful new casual line called Dobbin Clothing.
Dobbin designs clothes for 40+ women that are chic and have a wonderful fit.
Owners Jessica Gold Newman and Catherine Doyle – met at Liz Lange Maternity in 2003, where they headed the company’s marketing and fashion design. They bonded quickly over their mutual love of art and literature, vintage fashion, and the city of Paris and have been friends and business partners ever since.
The two fashionistas started Dobbin with a simple idea: create a line of fashionable staples, tailored to fit and flatter, using the best Italian fabrics, and manufactured here in the USA. “We also knew we wanted to keep prices under $200 without sacrificing quality, so we set out to sell exclusively online, where we could cut out the middle-man and pass the savings to our customers.”
Everything Dobbin designs is inspired by friends, family and customers looking for those must have quality pieces they just can’t find anywhere else at an affordable price. The clothing is classic and beautiful and the fabrics luxurious. Take a look for yourself.
P.S. Congratulations to Sharlyn Lauby. You have won $200.00 in beautiful Dobbin Clothing in our Fabulous after 40 contest!
I have to tell you I’m not impressed. This is just drab, dull and old looking. Not many choices and kind of spendy. Two thumbs down. but I still love ya!
I like the Griffith Stretch Pique Top. It’s just the right length, and I really like the sleeve length, too.
I love the Harper Stretch Silk Tunic. Looks so comfy and pretty.
The Juliet Stretch Ponte dress has flattering detail that would slim and flatter the wearer. I LOVE the sleeve length and the dress length itself. It truly would be a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe. I would love to have this dress.
I love the Juliet Stretch Ponte Dress – adorable, affordable and probably something I must have for the fall.
I like the Stanton stretch canvas ankle pant. It is very classic and would go with many tops.
I seem to pick clothes that are really popular. The Harper stretch silk tunic with Stanton stretch ankle pants. Really neat!!!
I love the Carmel Slub Cotton Knit Jacket. It is a semi-tailored neutral and would look great with anything!
love the Harper silk stretch tunic cause I could wear with everything
The Julie Collection St. Tropez scarf is cute. Dibs go to the Osa printed Jersey Skirt. Both Lovely.
I like the coral Harper Stretch Silk Tunic with the 3/4 length sleeves.
I love the St. Topez scarf. The color is really pretty, and I think it looks great with the shirt it is paired with. I’m not the greatest with organizing different accessories to make the outfit look great, so any little ideas are a HUGE timesaver for me. It will help me look put “together.”
I love the skirts and tops – they are so easy to wear.
I love the Juliet stretch Ponte dress because it would be perfect for wearing to work during the summer. It would still cover me up, still look professional, and still be cool enough for summer.
I love the Harper silk stretch tunic. The length of the top and the sleeves as well as the neckline are just what I look for. Would love to see myself in this in the petal pink.
I also like The Harper Stretch Silk Tunic. I like the skirt above because it covers the knees. My knees aren’t so pretty anymore and am tired of most skirts and dresses being so short.
I love the stanton stretch black pants because it would go with any of my tops I have now for work.
I am a real jacket fan. They drress up a casual outfit. I also love wearing pins & they give me a place for the,. I think the Carmel Slub Cotton Knit Jacket would be great for my wardrobe.
I love the stretch silk tunic! You got that right- longer length tops is what I DO look for! Tunic length just looks better on me! I also love the slub jacket.. perfect to go with many things.
I love the Harper Stretch Silk Tunic. Looks so comfy!
The Harper Stretch Silk Tunic. I love the colour, neckline and the sleeve length. It’s a beautiful top.
If it wasn’t so warm out, I would be lusting after the caramel knit jacket. But since it’s been warm and we’re facing summer, I want/need the carla lattice skirt. So I hope I win!
I love the Caramel Slub Cotton Knit Jacket.
Love the style of the lattice skirt and that it is comfy. I am all about comfy cute.
I guess great minds think alike! I’m loving the versatility and sophistication of the Juliet Stretch Ponte dress.
I really liked the Juliet dress. It is so pretty..:)
I love the Juliet Stretch Ponte Dress! Talk about figure flattering! This dress would look great on most anyone!
I think that slightly longer lengths, like the Lattice skirt, are heading back in, and it’s nice to feel breezy yet covered. I absolutely adore the Juliet dress; the navy is just wonderful!
I think the length could be about two inches shorter and I would like it better. That would put it about an inch above the knee. I visited the Dobbin Clothing website and really liked the Osa jersey skirt. Looking forward the seeing future offers form Dobbin. They seem to have a good thing going for our age and with style.
I think the skirt is adorable but feel it should be about an inch shorter…just at the top of the knee. I think at the knee makes the bottom half of the leg look a little short/frumpy. I am wondering about the sleeveless tops for women over 40 with lunch lady flab upper arms?!?
I like the St. Tropez scarf. In addition to wearing it around my neck, I can also use it as a headwrap.
I like the Carla Lattice Skirt. Fun and breezy.
the length looks just right to me; however I’m 5′ tall so it would probably be longer if I were to wear it.
I love the Juliette Ponte Dress because it’s such a classic and looks so comfortable, too. Just what I want in a dress – and who doesn’t look great in navy?!?
I think the skirt would be perfect if it were an inch shorter. That said, I still love it! And on the Dobbin site, one of my favorite pieces is the Margot stretch printed jersey top. It would look equally well with denim, dress pants or a skirt. Love it!
last night me and my friend on net.we are just searching for online clothing site. and we find Zahra online store
I also love the Stanton Stretch Canvas Ankle Pant. They would be perfect for Memorial Day weekend. I also like the length of the skirt.
The skirt length looks about right. Right now I’m seeing lots of maxi & mini skirts in the stores so am having a tough time finding one that stops at (or reaches to)the knees. The print is nice too. However, the piece I’m thinking of getting is The Carmel Slub Cotton Knit Jacket! It looks like a great piece to have and it’s styled very very well. The sleeves are cut so a slim wrist will show which is flattering. It’s a low hip length which is nice for covering “assets” and a nice length for wearing an untucked and belted at the waist blouse underneath. The vertical lines are fantastic too: a long unbroken line down the front from the jacket’s edges & the vertical panels in the front and back. The long line of the jacket’s front is good for long necklaces and scarves as well as shorter accessories. The horizontal line across the back broadens the shoulders and balances the hips while the horizontal line across the chest highlights the bust. Lastly, the textured fabric is a great soft petal pink color – so feminine and flattering for us as we age. The texture adds patterned interest which will be easy to work with when using other patterns in an outfit. And it’s lined! Oh – and thank you for using models that represent your client! Bravo!
LOVE the Juliette dress — dress up or down… big plus! Knit ponte is a gal’s BFF. And the sleeves and length are exactly what I’m looking for!
I love the Stanton Stretch Canvase Ankle Pant. They look perfect for now! And, I do like the length of the skirt.
I really like the Stanton Stretch Canvase Pant. I also think the Carla skirt is super cute with just the right length for our hot Florida summers. Thanks for a great offer!
I like the Stanton stretch canvas ankle pants. And, yes I like the length of the skirt :)
Love the length of the skirt and really like the Osa Printed Jersey Skirt
I love the Stanton Stretch Canvase Ankle Pant. I love the length. Looks as if it would wear well. I like the material.
I love the Carla skirt, it is a perfect length!
The length of the Carla skirt looks good to me. I probably wouldn’t want it any longer. Anywhere between the top of the knee and the bottom of the knee seems right to me, but longer than that tends to be less flattering to the leg and overall body proportion. (Unless it’s a full-lnegth skirt, which is a different story.) On the website, I liked the Margot jersey top. It’s a pretty print, and the extra coverage in back is a good thing.
Loved the Osa Printed jersey skirt. In fact both the skirts look awesome.
I loved the Juliet Stretch Ponte dress. Navy is such a great color! It would look flattering on anyone.
This is a great giveaway, thanks. I really love the CArla shirt.
Have a blessed week

I love the length of the skirt. It is exactly what I am looking for.
I love the length of that skirt, it is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for.
I like the Griffith pique top the best…because it would cover my upper arms but not be too hot!
I love the knit jacket. My office is like a meat locker in the summer and I’ve looking for something to wear that would go with everything from jeans to skirts. That jacket would be perfect!
I went to the Dobbins Clothing site and while the clothing looks classic, some is a bit dumpy. I like the lattice skirt but would wear it a bit shorter.
I like the Margot Jersey top and the Osa jersey skirt to go with it.
Love all the looks but my favorite is the Stanton Stretch Canvas ankle pant, the fit looks very flattering. Thanks so much for the giveaway, loving the blog, newletters etc.
I love the Carla Lattice Skirt with the tank top! The length is perfect for a full skirt.
I Love that skirt. And yes, I think it’s the perfect length. I am always looking for a longer length skirt for summer. I have horrible veins and it’s way to hot to wear hose or tights..
I really like the Harper blouse, not just the cut but the color too. It haslots of coverage but looks youthful, which I like.
As for Dobbin clothes I Love: Harper Blouse paired with the Chase Stretch Ponte Cropped Pants. Great for living in a motorhome!
