Hi Ladies, Today I wanted to share a cool new shoe I’ve been testing out over several months. It’s called The Bendy, and it’s both planet-friendly and foot-friendly! Have a look!
Comfy shoes are really important to me, but they’ve got to be cute too, and that’s often hard to find. So, I was really excited when Ashbury Skies ask me to try out The Bendy.
Bendy has a cool, modern look that’s really unique – kind of a cross between a flat and a sneaker. I love the buttery softness of the thin, leather/suede upper and the sporty, flexible (bendy) footbed.
This shoe is breathable, light, and feels really great on. There’s no raised arch support, but the deep cushiony foam footbed creates great natural arch support between the ball and foot, making it super comfy.
I’ve been wearing this cute snake print pair in this chic taupe color, but they come in many other exciting shades.
The Bendy comes in whole sizes only. For example, I’m size 8.5, but the size 8 fits me just fine. It feels a bit like a glove, snug on first wear, but then it relaxes and molds to your feet after a couple of wears. If you have a medium width foot, or a slightly wide or slightly narrow foot, these should fit fine. They are not recommended for wide feet, but a wide version is coming!
I’ve been wearing my Bendys with jeans and casual dresses. They look cute and feel fun to bounce around in. I think it would make an excellent travel shoe!
The best part is that The Bendy is not only stylish, but eco-friendly too. It’s crafted in California from the most sustainable materials, and generates lower carbon emissions because it is simply made with fewer components than your average sneaker.
Interestingly enough, this company was also started by two women our age. Owners Mary Sue and Caroline are long-time friends who spent 30 years in fashion and footwear until they decided to get together and develop this super comfy, eco-friendly shoe.
So take a look and see what you think. I’m really enjoying mine, and I feel good that I’m helping the planet too. Check out The Bendy at Ashbury Skies.
