Ever wondered where I write my blog? This is my workspace, and it’s important to me. I work from my home office, by myself, typing away…. I want my surroundings to be inspiring and uplifting.
When I designed my office, I made sure it was light, bright and airy. I love color because it makes me feel happy and creative, so I included a lot of colorful accents on my bookshelves and walls.
One place I seemed to have missed was the space across from my desk. When I look up from my computer, I stare at a blank, cream-colored wall. It doesn’t exactly make me feel energized! So recently, I ordered something special for my wall – a beautiful new painting!
It’s from Minted, a fabulous online shop that connects you to independent artists from around the world. Minted has some of the loveliest artwork I have seen in a long time. It’s unique, fresh and elegant- just my taste.
This pretty watercolor print is called “Abstract Bouquet”. I custom picked the frame. Even my husband noticed my painting and commented how much he liked it ( and believe me, he doesn’t always notice new things!)
I love being surrounded by beauty. This cheery, feminine painting speaks to my soul.
While browsing the Minted website, I also saw they specialized in custom stationery. My oldest son Harrison is graduating from high school in June, and I thought personalized graduation announcements would be a lovely way to celebrate his success and let everyone know what University he will be attending next year.
Designing the Graduation card was easy. I chose a template, uploaded his photo, personalized the message and selected some pretty envelopes with gold foil inserts. I also ordered Thank You cards for the grad gifts.
I must say, I was surprised how easy it was to customize my order, how quickly everything arrived, and how elegant it all looked.
If you are in need of beautiful stationery for a special occasion, or if you just want to brighten up your home with a stunning piece of art, or some unique home decor, then Minted is worth paying a visit to. They really have some lovely things.

(and yes, I did clean up my desk for this shoot! In reality, my desk is often a little more chaotic -lol!)
