Are you ever too old to wear hearts? Not when it’s Valentine’s Day! Today I’m partnering with Talbots to show you a cute sweater that will put a spring in your step and a smile on your face on February 14th!
L’Amour – Love- That’s what it’s all about on Valentine’s Day, so why not have some fun and get festive by wearing a soft, cozy heart sweater?
I don’t know about you, but Valentine’s Day is usually pretty laid back at my house. Dr. D and I go out for a casual dinner, but of course, not this year. Still, it’s nice to celebrate in style.
I find that a cute Valentine’s Day outfit always helps lift my spirits in February, which is my least favorite month because it is always so gray and cold out! I am not a winter baby! I’d rather be in Florida!
I’m thrilled to say I’m ahead of the game this year – Whoo hoo! I just finished ordering Valentine’s chocolates for my kids, hubby, parents, and my mother-in-law, all online. I’m getting hooked on this new way of shopping for everything!
On Valentine’s Day, I’ll be making the family a big spaghetti dinner, and Dr. D and I will be cracking open a bottle of our favorite red wine! (Beringer) Won’t my sweater be perfect? It’s playful, fun, and the style is so flattering.
I love the sleek boat neckline. It’s such a classy look. Plus, it has the effect of widening my shoulders and making my hips look narrow. It’s like I’m wearing shoulder pads without really having to wear them!
I paired my cute heart sweater with dark wash boot-cut jeans to make my outfit look more refined and slimming. The perky bootcut flare also helps create curves. As for the red booties, I’ve had these hanging around for a couple of years. Do you remember when I wore them with my black and white check pants? Sure enough, they’re perfect for Valentine’s Day!
