How To Style a Long Pink Coat

Are you thinking pink this spring? Hot fuchsia pink leads the way as one of the top fashion colors, with many fabulous pieces popping up in this vibrant, happy hue!

One of the most striking ways to wear this color is as a coat. I’ve found one I’m absolutely loving!

This is the Liam Loose Overcoat from The Drop at Amazon.  The Drop is Amazon’s influencer-inspired line, so it’s more on the fashion-forward side, but still well-priced.

This coat has a simple, elegant cut with an on-purpose loose fit. However, when I ordered my regular size small, and tried it on, I felt like I was drowning in it. I don’t know if it’s the style or the sizing but when I exchanged it for an x-small, I still got that slightly oversize look without feeling bulky and lost in the coat.

Styling-wise, I had an idea to pair it with black and white since I wore this combo last year with a pink cropped jacket and it looked chic.

I’m wearing the coat here with my favorite Spanx Perfect Flare Pants – truly the comfiest and shape-shifting pants I own! My top is a cute black and white striped sweater. It’s lightweight, so great for layering, and it makes a terrific transitional piece into spring. Look closer to see the pretty stripes which are more like fancy trim.

We pay so much attention to what we wear under our coats that we often forget about our outerwear. This vibrant pink coat is a simple reminder how the right coat can make a “wow”first impression.

And yes, it’s from Amazon, which you wouldn’t expect. Nor would you even think for a moment it was under $100!

I think this is a great coat for almost all of the year and at that price, it’s worth it, even if you only need a coat like this for special occasions. Although it’s a fab way to uplevel even a pair of jeans!
