Valentine’s Day is coming up fast! Whether you just love the holiday and like to show it in what you wear, or you’re planning to go out and celebrate with your sweetheart (or even your girlfriends – Galentine’s Day is the February 13th holiday where women celebrate their friendships with their girlfriends), have some fun, and do it in style! Wondering What to Wear on Valentin’s Day? Here are three great ideas!
Sweet & Simple For Snuggling With Your Honey
This first outfit is an easy way to give a little nod to Valentine’s Day and would be perfect to wear for a casual movie date. Pink and red are the colors of Valentine’s, so pair your jeans with this soft and cozy, red bubble-sleeve sweater and you’ll be all ready to celebrate.
Some glam jewelry dresses it up and makes it look extra pretty. The cute quilted bag and sexy d’Orsay flats in the loveliest cream color make this sweater pop. This is an easy-peasy look to throw together, it’s not expensive, and you’ll get lots of wear out of all of these pieces too. More cute red sweaters for Valentine’s Day here.
Day to Evening, So Pretty in Pink
Little black pants (LBPs) and a dressy blouse is a tried and true outfit recipe that will easily take you from a day in the office to a candlelit dinner out. This romantic crepe statement blouse with ultra-feminine cascading cuffs couldn’t be more perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I’m showing it here in this pretty pink tulip shade which is super popular for spring, but it also comes in a lovely melon shade which looks unique and artsy. If you want to go from the office to an evening out, simply swap out your day bag for a metallic clutch and add some sexy drop earrings.
Super Feminine for a Romantic Valentine’s Dinner
If your Valentine’s Day plans involve a romantic evening out with Mr. Someone Special, then for heaven’s sake, go all out with a figure-flaunting dress. This particular one is perfect for an over-40 gal. It shows your shape, but the polyester-spandex blend has a nice, slightly thicker weight to it that helps to smooth out the wobbly bits. (Great for packing and travel too!)
The keyhole neck that shows just a bit of skin adds a note of Valentine’s Day sex appeal without letting it all hang out. And let’s talk about these tulips! The addition of these pretty blooms takes this from a just-okay all-black dress to a knockout piece that makes you stand out in a crowd in a good way.
