3 Casual Pants Outifts for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up fast!

Whether you’re a big fan of this holiday and like to show it in what you wear, or you’re planning to go out and celebrate with your sweetheart and need an outfit (or even your girlfriends – Galentine’s Day), here are three ways to look feminine, pretty and casually chic!

Valentine's Day Oufit -pink puff sleeve top

Look # 1 Pink Puff Sleeve Top

All three looks I’m showing today are from Chicos, and start with this classy pair of pants called the No Stain Ankle Jegging  Let me tell you, these are fabulous! They’re thin and lightweight with lots of stretch, so they look and feel really good on. There’s no zipper; they are flat front, and you pull them on for a comfy fit. In a way they feel like leggings, but they look like pants

The color is gorgeous. White is always fresh, but these are even better because they are creamy white. This winter white is much easier to wear this time of year if you live up north. I’m wearing them here in Toronto on Valentine’s Day, but they’ll definitely be coming with me when I go on vacation to Florida next month.

The best word for the top is “dolly”.  The main part of it is a knit, so it shapes your body and has that lovely, curved hemline that is much more flattering than a hem cut straight across. The sleeves are made of fabric, so they puff out and give you a very romantic look. I feel great wearing this outfit, and I think it shows.

2. Black and White Striped, Embroidered Shirt

Not everyone is into pink or red for Valentine’s Day, so here is another option. This charming black and white shirt is quite the statement piece! It’s long, like a tunic, with the most incredible embroidered balloon sleeves. This is classic meets romantic. It’s a great top to cover your tummy and look chic if you wear it out over tapered pants like these or with leggings.

This top also comes in red and I was super tempted, but the black is more practical because I can wear it later. I suppose you could also wear red, but in black it looks a little chic.

How do you like the dramatic beaded earrings? Chicos always have the most fun accessories! The black shoes are my go-to sandals from Amazon. Don’t they remind you of those elegant plastic shoes our Barbies wore way back when, except the square toe makes them more modern? I always wanted a pair of those (Lol!)

3. Red Hearts Top

For some gals, Valentine’s wouldn’t be Valentine’s unless they wear hearts. This is a perfect choice if you are into that. It’s a lovely, slim-fitting ( but tight), smooth and soft tee. The hearts have a tiny bit of sequins on them, but it’s not over the top, and the placement of the hearts is perfect- not overpowering. I originally planned to wear this with black pants, which would have looked great, but I ended up wearing the cream ankle pants, which is a lovely, fresh change.

So there you go! Three modern Valentine’s outfits that start with pants, and the fabulous tops you can wear with them now, and over again into Spring.

  1. I love this post!! Your style is so chic and effortless. I love those flats but haven’t invested…need to find a comfy pair because most flats hurt my feet for some reason. Thank you for sharing.

It's your life. Make it Fabulous!
