Red Lace by the Fire

Nothing says Merry Christmas better than a beautiful red lace dress. This pretty wrap style is always popular but the romantic puffed sleeves make things new and  different. This bolder shoulder is part of that throwback to the 80’s we’re seeing in fashion at the moment.  It’s Dynasty all over again, but in a more gentle way.

What other color can you wear this holiday season to look festive and fun? Teal is a universal shade that looks great on everyone.

This teal, lace-overlay sheath dress is a top seller because of its simple, figure-flattering cut. But the simplicity of this dress ends there. With scalloped trim and geometric embroidered lace, this intricate lace dress goes over and above defining details.

    1. Hi Kathryn, Yes, pants can get very dull, but a dress, well, a dress, can make you feel feminine and uplifted. Lace has been around for a few seasons and is still super popular. I love these styles. They make a statement but in a gentle way. Cheers, Deborah

  1. These dresses are gorgeous. But so few with sleeves! It is winter here, and I can’t help but think this article and pictures are just for those in warmer climates. Why? What are we cold weather girls supposed to do? Plus, even if I were living in Fla year round, I would like some sleeves to cover the unattractive parts of my upper arms. And I have a feeling I am not alone in this.

    1. Hi Lisa,
These dresses can be worn all year, but you have to have a good coat and shawl to add. However, you have a good point about keeping the arms a little more covered, and we will try to find more dresses with more fabric… I do understand that many women have issues with their constituents.
      Thanks for writing in.
