Tired of Slouchy? These Boyfriend Jeans Have a Slim New Fit!

Boyfriend Jeans are typically loose-fitting, slouchy, and relaxed with a borrowed-from-the-boys kind of look. However, if you’re like me and prefer a more structured fit, then there’s a brand-new, sleeker option. Here are three slim-fit boyfriend jeans that are getting a lot of attention, along with suggestions on what to wear them with to create cute spring outfits.

What’s New about Slim-Fit Boyfriend Jeans?

Slim Fit Boyfriend Jeans are

More Fitted Through The Waist & Hips

The biggest difference between traditional boyfriend jeans and the new slim fit is that the slim fit is more fitted through the waist and hips. They’re close-fitting across the hips and thighs, creating more curves, but they fall straight down like boyfriend jeans, even though the legs are not as relaxed.

How to style them? This pair I’m wearing is the Mott and Bow Grand Jeans. The quality is excellent, and the fit is also amazing. They feel like they were made for me. I’ve paired them with a crisp striped blouse and white summer sneakers for a preppy summer look.

Slightly Slouchy and Tapered

If you’re saying, ‘Now hold on, I don’t like loose boyfriend jeans, but I don’t want them fitted,’ then this next pair may be for you. These are the Mott and Bow Slim Boyfriend (Mercer) jeans, which are roomier than a slim cut but not as baggy as a classic boyfriend style. These jeans look best on gals with straighter figures, but I’m an hourglass and manage to pull them off since these are slimmer than most boyfriend jeans.

How to style them: Pair a vintage tee with turned-up pant hems for a cute, sporty summer look.

High Rise Boyfriend Jeans

Besides being less slouchy and baggy, many slim-fit boyfriend jeans also have a higher rise. That’s a relief for so many of us with midlife muffin tops. These cute Bridgette boyfriend jeans are from Paige and also feature oversized pockets and turned-up cuffs. White is stunning, and these jeans are luxuriously soft.

How to style them: Pair these boyfriend jeans with a pretty ruffled top, white faux croc bag, and these chic sandals for an elevated casual summer look.

  1. First, let me say that you find fabulous items and have great ideas for combining them! have a look at these as another option: I have a “boyfriend” fit jeans from LandsEnd…. they call it a “straight leg,” and you can pick mid-rise or high-rise…. holds my Butt but then straight down the leg….not too wide and not too narrow.
And those hats…..what fun to try them all. I hope that she enjoyed her birthday celebration.
Now I need to figure out this Nordstrom Sale thing…..seems a wee bit over the top for several categories/items, and I need to narrow down what I want to look at…..OH MY!

    1. Hi Lauren, I’m so glad you are enjoying the blog and getting some good ideas. Thanks for telling me about those Land End Jeans. I will have to look them up. Yes, the hats I wore in my newsletter were beautiful, weren’t they? I felt so Downton Abbey! As for the Nordstrom sales, it’s all about your status with them and when you can shop. If you have a Nordstrom card, you can shop earlier. If not, then on August 19th, you can preview everything that will be on sale right now. Check out this post, and you can start adding stuff to your wish list:https://www.fabulousafter40.com/nordstrom-anniversary-sale-preview-my-wishlist-time-to-make-yours-too/ Thanks for dropping by!
