Hair Biology For Great Hair that Doesn’t Stop at 50

*This post is sponsored by Hair Biology, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve come a long way, baby!  Yes, a lot of things have changed over the years, but one thing I’m still pretty happy about is my hair!

Despite all changes that come with aging, I’ve managed to keep my hair looking pretty darn good, thanks in part to Hair Biology.

Hair Biology

Hair Biology is a hair care line specially formulated for gals our age that I started using a couple of years ago. It’s designed to work with our unique biology, not against it, and helps with common problems that we all experience at midlife and beyond. Problems like:

Thinning – Yes, we grow less hair, but did you know the diameter of each strand also thins? This is not good, especially when you have fine hair, to begin with like me!

Dryness – Oil production drops in half as we age. I can relate because if I don’t moisturize well, my hair feels like straw!

Hair Quality – Hair resembles uniform strands of silk, but aging causes it to go wonky, giving us flyaways and frizz. I’m trying to get back to that smooth, shiny, baby-fine hair in my childhood photos, and Hair Biology is helping me do that.

Graying – By our 50’s more than 90% of us have gray hair, and if you don’t want to cover it up, Hair Biology makes it look healthy and fresh. I’m staying a blondie for now, and love that their products don’t interfere with my color.

How exactly do I use Hair Biology to keep my hair looking fabulous?

STEP 1 – It’s straightforward. I wash my hair every two days, first with the Full & Vibrant Shampoo, followed by the Full & Vibrant Conditioner. Both these products nourish and thicken.

The shampoo does a great job getting all the gunk out of my hair that builds up and weighs it down, and I love the way the conditioner adds back fullness without the weight. This is key for me. I want my hair to be full and thick, but I don’t want to feel bogged down with product and look dull.

What about all the good stuff in Hair Biology?

It’s infused with Biotin which everyone is talking about these days. Biotin is a vitamin that creates structure, strength, and support to make your hair fuller, thicker and stronger. I’ve noticed my hair is less flat these days.

I also feel good knowing Hair Biology is free of parabens and dyes. Who needs more chemicals!

STEP 2 – Once I’ve blowdried my hair, I like to go in at the roots, pull up my hair, and pump in a bit of Hair Biology Thickening Treatment.

I use it sparingly on my part and at my crown.  After a couple of pumps, I rub it in with my fingers, let it dry, and I get a fantastic lift!  Note: You can also use this on wet hair if you prefer.

STEP 3 – In the winter I get a lot of flyaway hairs and a bit of frizz because of the dryness.  I just started using the Hair Biology Taming Serum with Argan Oil to smooth out the fine strands that stick up here and there, and I’m really loving it!
