Happy 2022!
Hi Deborah:
My ma used to wear sequins and anything that sparkled during the holidays. I would secretly laugh to myself thinking you don’t need to make yourself look any more ridiculous than you already are at your age. Now I’m that age and guess who wants to sparkle? Family get togethers is about the only thing left for me and I want to shine. I still love to primp a bit and wear something glittery and eye catching. It is fun and makes me happy. Aging is such a humbling experience. I’m glad we saved it for last.
Caught your elegant moments video. You did it with such poise.
Happy New Year to all.
Hi Sheryll, That’s a funny story! All I can say is SHINE ON, glam gal. I love a little sparkle too! Cheers, Deb
Personally, what is working for me at age 69 is flannel leggings with long tops, boots with flat heels. Just bought a sweater dress which I love. Also added a poncho to my wardrobe. Slowly buying long necklaces and scarves. It’s a great look for seniors aging backwards. I feel young without trying too hard. Love your website.
Hi Sylvia, Seniors Aging Backwards! That sounds like a great name for a website (LOL) Glad to hear these ideas are helping and you are feeling good!
Cheers, Deborah
Can you tell me where you found those fabulous plus size dresses on your NYE blog?
Hi Debi, They are from Nordstroms. They have a wonderful selection of Plus size dresses on their website.
These are great tips! In fact I was just thinking about what to wear on New Years eve. I tend to dress a little young for my age {I think} sometimes it’s OK and sometimes I look back and think oh boy what was I thinking LOL. In fact I just posted something the other day and made thought perhaps it is too young dressing for my age {46}
