3 Casual Holiday Outfits with Jeans

It’s that holly, jolly time of year, so even if you’re planning on a low-key Christmas,  it still feels good to dress a little festive.

For all my gals who love their jeans, I have found the perfect pair for the holidays! And wait until you see the cute and casual tops that look so adorable with them. Have a peek!

Let’s start with the Jeans!

The jeans I’m sharing today are Talbots Slim Ankle Jeans. This is a very versatile style that I describe as halfway between skinny and straight-leg jeans.

You’ve probably heard often that skinny jeans are now on the back burner of fashion. If that’s been hard for you because you like a more fitted style, try these slim ankle jeans. That’s what I’ve switched to, and now I prefer slim ankle over skinnies.

These slim-fit jeans sit comfortably at your waist, and the crop above the ankle gives you a chic, modern look.

Now, if you look closely, you will see these jeans have long peek-a-boo side slits.  What is hard to see, and I didn’t notice at first, is that these slits are embellished with tiny rows of crystals.

It’s a subtle detail, but what a great way to add a touch of holiday glam to everyday jeans. Bonus- side slits are also a stylish way to showcase a pair of fabulous holiday shoes.

1. Jeans and Colorful Cashmere 

Talbots makes really great cashmere tops, and what I like best is they always have a huge selection of colors, prints, and patterns, which are often hard to find.

For example, this cheery striped cashmere top is my new favorite. It’s soft and very lightweight, and that gorgeous pink and red mix is so cheery and modern.

It’s a cute look when you are popping out for a bite with your honey after a day of Christmas shopping or wear it at home on Christmas Eve or out to a movie between Boxing Day and New Year’s!

2. Jeans and a Tunic Sweater

Longer tunic-style sweaters also look great with skinny and straight-leg jeans. This one has a special Christmas touch.

Woven into that beautiful ivory cable knit are some sparkly metallic threads! This winter white shade is always so classy, and that tiny bit of sparkle adds a touch of holiday glam. This sweater looks beautiful with festive red pants too.

3. Jeans and a Floral Print

Big bold florals are a modern way to enjoy the holidays and ring in the new Year!

This pretty floral sweater with black pants is striking, but also super cute with these jeans. 

This is another one of Talbots fabulous cashmere sweaters. I’m wearing a small and I’m a size six so these fit true to size.

You could easily layer a jacket or long cardigan over this for a different look because the sweater is fairly thin and lightweight.

I’m going out with the family this weekend to enjoy a hot chocolate and tour a big holiday light display. This is probably what I will be wearing + some cute flat boots.
