My Favorites! Colleen Rothschild – 25% off Anniversary Sale

I don’t know about you, but I find there are so many skincare products out there it can be confusing and frankly, overwhelming. Please, give me high-performance, luxury products that work! I’m the first to admit I want minimum effort and maximum results, and I have found Colleen Rothschild delivers!

My bathroom is full of Colleen Rothschild goodies that smell and feel heavenly. From the Age Renewal Super Serum -a terrific little booster I use under my moisturizer on days when I need an extra plump, to the Quench and Shine Restorative Hair Mask, which brings my hair back from the dead when I’ve dried it out with too much lifting spray,  to the Retinol Supreme Night Oil which works like a wizard’s magic elixir to soften those fine lines while I sleep; they’re all great!

I’m always excited to test new Colleen Rothschild products, but there are four I keep coming back to that I want to share today. They are great starters if you are new to the brand.

My All Time Favorite

O.k., Let’s begin with the makeup remover that I can’t get enough of – Colleen’s Radiant Cleansing Balm. It looks like thick butter; it goes on like butter, and the smell is di totally addictive.

You know how when your pour hot butter over popcorn, how it just melts right in? Well, that’s what this cleansing balm feels like. You slather some of the thick, buttery balm on your face, add a little hot water and rub in a circular motion. (You can even use this balm to take off eye makeup). As you massage it, it will start getting softer and warmer until it melts off your makeup.

Then you take the Muslin cloth with it,  run it under hot water, wring it out, drape it over your face, and gently wipe off the balm. This feels amazing, and my face is velvety smooth afterward. I’m hooked on this luxurious, relaxing bedtime ritual!

New for Me, and Loving It!

Next, I want to talk about a Colleen Rothschild product that is new to me and that I love. I’m talking about the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads with Blue Agave. I think the key to glowing skin at our age is keeping old, dead, crepey skin off our faces and letting the brightness trapped underneath shine through. These exfoliation pads intrigued me since they contain glycolic and lactic acid types. Plus, they looked fun to use.

And they are! After I  cleanse my face, I swipe a textured, acid-soaked pad across my cheeks, forehead, nose, chin, and Voilà! There’s always a little something on the pad, left over from my wash, and that’s so satisfying! I use the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads about 3 x a week to brighten my skin. There’s nothing like that feeling of having unclogged, super-clean pores. The Glycolic pads also help with hyperpigmentation, which seems to pop up if I get a little lazy with my sunscreen. (Did I mention Colleen makes fantastic broad-spectrum sunscreen?)

My Nighttime Beauty Cocktail!

Colleen Rothschild has a few excellent products you can use at night to repair your skin while you sleep, like her Retinol Supreme Night Oil and her Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum for cellular turnover (another of my new faves- smells gorgeous).

A good one to start with if you want to test the waters is the Face Oil No. 9. Yes, it’s an oil, but don’t worry; it gives you a glow without the shine.

Here’s the trick to using it. Mix it in your palm with a dab of the rich and creamy Extreme Recovery Cream. It’s like you’re making a cocktail or, in this case, with the oil and cream, a salad dressing (lol!). Then massage it into your face, and you are all set for your skin to drink it in while you sleep. My skin looks and feels ten years younger when I wake up. Magic!
