Hello, and thank you for this information. I a
Ways find it harder to dress age-appropriate in the summer. I will be 41 next week and am confused about what to wear. I love the skimmers and ankle pants this season, but I look and feel best in long pants. I have very skinny legs that I am embarrassed by…is it okay to wear long pants during the summer? If so, what kind of shoe? I need to dress business casual, so I am even more confused. Thanks for any help.
Danielle, it’s ok to wear whatever you are comfortable in during the summer! Try on lots of different things to see what makes you feel confident. If it’s long pants, try long, slim-cut trousers with a blouse and cute flats, low heels, or sandals for a crisp business casual look. Or flowy linen pants with sandals for casual Fridays. What’s more important than anyone’s “shoulds” or “shouldn’t” is how you feel. Confidence is the best accessory.
