More Talbots Early Spring Arrivals for Women Over 50: (Try -On)
Hi Ladies! This is a continuation of my Talbots early spring try-on, where I’m sharing more new arrivals that didn’t quite fit into the first post.
There are so many cute new things – many you can start wearing now, or when you go on vacation. Check these out at Talbots and see what you think.

Ribbed Tunic Sweater
Look familiar? Yes, this is the same tunic sweater I shared in my earlier post, but this time, instead of orange, it’s in this soft sky blue. It was so hard to decide between the two, and then there’s a beautiful ivory one too.
What I like about this tunic is threefold. First, it fits close to your body. It’s loose and comfy but not big and baggy. I also like that it’s not too long.
Many tunics land close to the middle of your thighs, which gives you a frumpy look. And the third reason is that it’s ribbed. A gorgeous color and some texture = chef’s kiss!

Red Denim Jacket
It’s back, too, and the reason is that it’s so darn versatile. In the last post, I wore it with jeans and a shirt. Here it is with this cute lace embellished top and my new favorite spring pants- these cropped cuffed Twill pants.
Casual, smart. I love this look and how the jacket adds an exciting pop of color and energy. Navy, red, and white is my favorite transition combo as I try to sneak into spring.

Pink Stripes
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so we are starting to see all pink and red tops. This is nice if you are looking for something to celebrate the Day, and you wear it many times after too.
Those graduated pinks and reds create a pretty, modern ombre effect. It’s the perfect tee if you have a bit of a tummy since it has a relaxed fit and is a little longer than your average tee.
I’m wearing it with my favorite jeans lately – the barely boots jeans, ns which are a cross between a straight leg and a wide bootcut.

Speaking of longer tops, this is another. It’s even more of a tunic style than the striped tee, with a fuller bottom and slits on the sides. I know a lot of you love a longer top because you feel self-conscious tucking it in, but if you ever feel like it, this top does work tucked in, too.
Check my other post to see how tucked it is into jeans. I was surprised by how good it looked, since most tunics are too wide, too long, or too bulky to tuck in.
The pants are the twill ones again, the ones I showed you with the red denim jacket (scroll up). The big cuff gives them a modern, chic look, and they come in tan, too. They’re very comfortable, and I like them so much I may order the tan tone too.

Wide Leg Jeans
Here’s an outfit for my gals who like a relaxed beachy look. I thought this was really cute for holidays, with the Bon Voyage tee, light-wash denim finish, and laid-back fray at the hem. This is an adorable outfit, but you’ve got to feel it, and those pants didn’t quite feel like me.
I thought it might look better if I tucked in the tee, but I couldn’t get it to look right, at least not on me.

I do like the tea,e though. I’m not big on writing on my tops, but in the spring, summer, and vacation time, I think a little tee like this is fun. You can see I hiked up the top here a bit, and the pants are already looking better.
Is it Love?
Hearts for Valentine’s Day. Love them or leave them? If you like to dress festive on February 14th, this simple yet cute tee is a good choice. February 14th, lighten up your Day.

Blue as the Day Striped Shirt
This shirt was like a magnet that drew me in. I’m not one for white shirts since they completely wash me out, but sky blue? stripes? Yes please. I love the crisp color and style of this all-purpose shirt. It’s long enough to wear out over slim jeans or to tuck into anything else. Pop the collar, flip the cuffs, and rock this shirt. So chic!

All American Style
What’s more American than Red, white, and blue? This cute-looking combo is good for ny, ti, me spring and summer, but I can really see it for Memorial Day weekend and July 4th! I love having an outfit like this for July 4th/summer go-to.
That red denim jacket I have talked about so much is a knockout with your favorite jeans and a white tee or striped top.

Stripes with a Sweet Twist
Just wanted to give you a closer look at this striped sweatshirt I paired with the red jacket above. I know there are a zillion tops out there like this, but this one is a little special. See the scalloped edging at the neckline. It adds stripes from sporty to more feminine, making this cute top feel even sweeter.

From your Jan 2026 update, the red Talbot’s jean jacket looks AMAZING on you. That should be a keeper for sure. Not much in their stores right now for a deep autumn like me, but I always keep an eye on their new arrivals. :)

Thanks Carolyn, Yes it is my favorite color, and red, and coral. I’m a true spring, and I stick to those colors pretty much. I’m a big believer in color theory. It makes a huge difference in lighting up your face and making look look fabulous!
LOve those slim ankle ones……..just checked and OP is gone. I will check measurements , sometimes a 2p works at Talbots but when I try that size on in the store, they are too big and always have to order. I can check the store also….might have sent the OP. They look so flattering on you! Sorry your brows were exactly as expected. I use NYX lift and snatch in blonde. Got my fingers crossed they soften for you.
