If you were to ask me about my favorite thing to wear in summer, it’s hands down, a pair of crisp, white jeans with an easy, breezy summer top. Why?
I think that’s partly because I live in the North (just outside of Toronto), and although white jeans are technically acceptable at any time of the year, no one really wears them unless it’s hot out.
From May until mid-September, white jeans feel special. They’re light, bright, and my way to celebrate summer. Plus, they look pretty darn chic when you team them up with a beautiful top.
Here’s a look at 5 fabulous white jeans in stores right now and summer outfits to go with them.
1. For When You Want to Be Fashion Forward
For those if you who like the look of fray hem jeans, these High Waist white ankle Jeans, called The Hustler from Mother Jeans, rock! What I like about them is they have a beautiful, high waist which makes wearing them like having an instant tummy tuck! They’re very stretchy, and they hold everything in!
The style is fashion-forward, so if you are the type who likes to be on the cutting edge than a cropped bootcut is the way to go.
I wasn’t too sure about this style until I tried a pair last summer, but you know what I quite liked them. (See here).
You can wear cropped bootcut jeans with booties, which is a bit edgy and just maybe too hot this time of year? (Maybe in September would be better) or slip on a pair of heels (looks fab), or just some cute summer mules like the ones I’m showing. I’m getting a pair of these for sure!! You can wear flats too, but with a cropped flare, I think a bit of height looks much chicer.
2. If You like Classic with a Surprise Twist
If frayed cropped bootcut jeans are a little too out there for you, then classic white jeans always look fabulous. This pair from NYDJ is specially designed to play up your curves. Plus, it also has a very special style twist.
Click the photo link below the outfit collage, above, to see the back pocket. It’s covered in glitzy rhinestones, perfect for those times when you want a casual outfit to have a glamorous touch, or you want to look bootie-ful! These jeans will definitely enhance your bottom.
Ruffles are trending at the moment, and summer is the perfect time to wear this trend because ruffles give you a soft, breezy summer look. This wrap top with the gently ruffled neckline and the cute waist tie is so soft and feminine, and that peplum shape does wonders to define your waist and balance your shape.
I think this periwinkle bag is just perfect with this top. That blue-purple color is so rare and pretty. Finish off with some beaded earrings and white strappy snake print sandals, and you have a no-fail summer outfit to feel good in.
3. When Tight, Cropped, and Skinny is Your Thing
If you like your white jeans, skinny, tight, and cropped, then you can’t go wrong with a pair of cropped AG Cigarette jeans. These are what you can wear when shorts don’t feel appropriate or right, but you don’t want to wear long jeans. They also come in a creamy off white if bright white is not your thing.
How pretty is this striped front tie top? Another great look with white jeans is soft, pastel stripes, which always remind me of the beach! I love the unique mix of pale yellow and icy pastel pink. The bag is gorgeous, and a pair of fresh white sneakers look so cool and modern, not to mention being comfy! This outfit is a warm-weather winner!
4. For Fans of Boyfriend Jeans
For those with a more straight up and down figure, these white Bridgette Slim Fit Boyfriend Jeans from Paige are great. What I like about them is that they are super soft, and they remind me of a cargo style pant with the big adventurer type pockets and the roll hem cuff.
The beauty of white is that it is like an artist’s canvas. You can put any color with it, and it is going to look fabulous. Bright colors like this artsy orange and blue top are vibrant and exciting. Pick up on one of the colors in the print like orange and make it your bag.
Metallic shoes are neutral and look stunning with white jeans. I prefer them to white sandals. They look just a tad richer, and they give a beautiful, long, lean look to your legs. Did you notice these were square toe sandals? They’re super trendy right now.
5. When You Crave Boho but Not Hippie
Frayed hem jeans take a certain headspace to wear. Fringe jeans have a similar feel but are easier to get into and work for gals who prefer a neater look. I like white fringe jeans because they add a bit of a beachy boho feel without getting too hippie looking. This 7 For All Mankind cropped, frayed, straight-leg pair is super cute and easy to wear.
I’ve styled it with this interesting blouse that combines an edgy snake print top with super feminine ruffled sleeves. Mix dangerous and super sweet, and this is the look you get. Fringe earrings and sexy clear sandals (another big trend) along with a softy boho bag, give this a fabulous summer feel.
What is your favorite type of white jeans? Do you like frayed jeans, how about fringe? Or are you a classic type? Leave me a comment and let me know.
