Are Linen Pants in Style in 2025? ( and What Kind?)
Linen pants: you either love them, or you’ve sworn them off after one too many wrinkly disasters. But lately, they’ve been popping up everywhere—and not just on beach getaways. (Although they’re great for that, too!)
This season, they’re appearing in more modern, flattering cuts that feel incredibly wearable. Designers have elevated the look with tailored shapes, softer fabrics, and polished details that make linen pants feel chic, not sloppy. So, if you’ve been eyeing a pair but wondering if they’re still in style (or if they’ll just make you look rumpled), let’s break it down. Here’s what’s new—and how to wear linen pants in a way that works for you.

Wide Leg White Linen Pants
Wide is the trend this summer, and that goes for linen pants, too. These breezy mid-rise Brawley pants from Lily Pulitzer feature a gentle, wide leg and a relaxed fit. The stretchy tie front waist gives them a sporty look and makes them easier to fit into. Bonus: They’re pants-lined, which is not usually the case, but it really helps them keep their shape.
Linen pants always look fabulous paired with other natural materials like this summery cotton knit sweater. I added some woven sandals and a tote to carry through the on-vacation vibe.

Linen Trousers
Colorful and classy are the words that come to mind when describing these gorgeous linen trousers. Beautiful pleating gives them a more formal look, so accentuate it with a structured bag, strappy white sandals, and elegant pearl earrings. This outfit would be perfect for work, a baby shower, a wedding shower, graduation, or any other important occasion.

Drawstring Linen Pants
Here’s another pair of linen drawstring pants, but this time – cropped. They’re light and fine, with a cute modern detail- side slits. I’ve paired them with a gorgeous front-tie linen top in this hazy blue color, then added woven mules and a soft suede bag for a soft, sophisticated look.

Cropped Linen Pants
Most linen pants come in solid colors, so when you see a great stripe pair like this, grab them! These fun pants require very little. Simply add a white muscle tee, Birkenstocks, and a cute woven bag for a fresh summer look.

Linen Pants Set
Here’s a trend I’m seeing a lot with linen – the linen pants sets. I love this idea, which typically features a short or cropped linen top paired with matching, wide-leg linen pants in the same color. A long column of color like this is quite striking and also makes you look tall and lean. Add gold sandals to elevate the look and summery beach accessories to create texture! What a fab outfit!

Linen Flare Pants
These are new! I love the idea of linen pants that look like patch-pocket jeans. These are such a fresh alternative to heavy denim. I paired them with a bold print top and black accessories for a great look that will take you from spring right into summer, and back into early fall.

Linen Joggers
You can’t get more comfortable than joggers, but instead of fleece or cotton, go for summery linen joggers. Black is chic with this understated, tan floral top.
Add natural colored slides, a denim jacket and a textured bag to for a cute summer look.

I love linen pants and shorts. The whole wrinkle thing doesn’t phase me one bit! And I love those double-hoop Ana Luisa earrings; I bookmarked them!
Hi Carolyn, It’s really a team linen or team no linen thing isn’t it? If you can pull it off it can look very chic and old money!
My linen pants are great in XS with tapered legs, but I love the 2nd pair. I bought them in some other smooth fabric with the same styling, with a paper bag waist and no drawstring. The first pair I bought has a drawstring on the inside so that I can tighten it, and it will lay flat. I will wear them often in the dead of summer heat here in the South. I still love my kick-crop white jeans too. I love the v-neck top paired with them…….that is exactly what I wore, and I got a skirt with a paper bag waist in a khaki color in XSP. You are right about linen being the rage this coming summer. Mine say cropped, but on me; they come to the ankle. Thanks for the inspiration on styling them.
Some great inspiration and is perfect for the coming summer weather.
