Swing Into Fall In a Classic Cable Knit Poncho
It took a long time this year in Toronto, but finally, the leaves have turned to gold, and red and Autumn have arrived in all its glory. It’s that time of year when I love throwing on a cute fall poncho and enjoying nature’s beauty.
Luckily I came across this fab find! It’s a darling cowl neck style poncho with the prettiest cable knit pattern.
A cover-up like this makes me want to twirl. I love the drama and the freedom that comes with pulling on something light but cozy when I need to nip out for a little jaunt.
This cozy poncho sweater is relatively light, but I’ve layered it with a stretchy long-sleeved jersey tee for warmth. You can wear it outside when things get chilly, but it’s light enough that I’d wear it indoors, too, if I were going to the mall or grabbing a bite with a friend, for example.
The detail is lovely. You can see the beautiful stitching and beautiful ecru color, a soft, natural off-white- just a touch creamy. It’s hard to tell from these shots, but a touch of gold stitching runs throughout the cable knit, making the poncho shimmer ever so slightly.
I’ve paired this cable knit poncho with my favorite high-waisted black Paige jeans and some chic black booties with button detail. The tote is one of my favorites from Michael Kors. More on that in a minute.
A touch of jewelry brings out the shimmer and glam feel of this casual but dramatic piece. I’m wearing my favorite Kate Spade and Michael Kors bracelets which I have linked. The style of earrings I’m wearing is quite popular now- gold hoops with pearls in various sizes and configurations are everywhere.
Aren’t those patch pockets cute? They add a lovely laid-back feel.
Here’s the bag and booties you saw earlier, but this time, close up!
I love the way this outfit looks so classic yet so fresh. It would never be out of place wherever you wore it because it is a timeless look. If you want to add a touch of fun and drama to your wardrobe but keep things classic, this is the piece for you.
